I guess the only reason i am writing this post is to share my new found joy of the brush-less era. Just last week i installed the castle creations mamba max system into my rustler and what was once an old, beaten, retired truck now has new life! I was blown away the first time i drove it when i realized how easily i could flip it one its back, kind of a ridiculous amount of power and almost unnecessary when it spends more time on its back rather than on all four. Any advice or tips you have about brushless would be helpfull to me as i am new to electric but i can already see myself adding another brushless vehicle to my collection! :D: :hehe: :p:

You running lipo yet? If not, slap a 3s pack on there. On congrats! Electric FTW!

+1 on LiPo. You might also check into a wheelie bar to help keep it off of the lid. I know Traxxas offer one for the Rustler VXL.

Not a bad idea. Doing wheely's is super fun at first but it gets annoying if after a while if your rig just flips over all the time. Like a merv on 3s, their real "flippy".

Right now i got a 2s, 4000 mah venom lipo and just charging it up right now after i burned up my 5000 mah nimh first run (if you want too waste 50 dollars, thats the perfect way to do it) also looking into a wheelie bar. The only problem i have with the mamba max is its tendency to overheat. It did this twice in one run on a nimh. Will the change to lipo help or am i doing something wrong?

You will need to change gearing. Help with what direction guys, I'm drawing a blank tonight. Had to deal with the VA this afternoon.
