Mamba Max for Stampede XL-5

So my brother is going to buy a brushless system for his pede, I think Mamba Max seems to be a good choice...Ok so which is the right model for a Stampede?

Also.. should his car be popping wheelies on pavement?
Its stock running a 3300 battery.. at full charge the wheels don't come up from a standstill..

I'm not saying do anything untill someone that has one chimes in but what I am saying is that I bought the comp package for my rc18mt and wish i would have got the bigger one which was the 8000 instead of the 7200.

You can still get too crazy with a brushless setup. I've got a Mamba Comp package on my RC-18t. I run a 7-cell pack and the the thing is nearly uncontrollable. I just put the same thing in my RC-18r and am going to ruun a 6-cell pack in it. Hope I don't run out of room in the warehouse where I'm going to playing.

Get the 6900.

It is more than enough for the pede. Its what I am getting if I keep my pede. It has had graet reviews on the Traxxas boards.

IMO if your not going for the most speed possible go with a Novak, it's silky smooth at any speed in forward or reverse. The Mamba can handle more cells but it's uncensored and does cog, the novak has no cog at all but will only handle 7 cells. BTW I was beating Savages and 2.5 T-Maxxs with a novak 5800ss powered pede on a good 7 cell pack.

the best package to get is the 7700 package. If he is poppin wheels then try to take the gearing down a little. with high gearing its noraml for a stampedde to pop wheelies. i have both a stampede and rustler.

if you want the most speed i would go with the brushless traxxas vxl system with a 3 cell 8000+ mah. it will get u goin 65+ it so fast.
