Does anyone know if the MM ESCs are compatible with 6 pole motors? I could not find out this info on their website. I recently picked up a Dyamite C4 4600Kv motor for a steal of a deal and was thinking of trying it out with the Mamba Max. The instructions that came with the Dynamite suggested the Quark line of controllers, but the Mamba Max has tested well with Neu and Feigao motors so I thought I'd try out the MM with the C4 if it is compatible.

I plan on running the C4 with a 2S lipo in my AE TC3.

I emailed CC but no reply. Thanks for the answer Bruce.

I swore i saw that combo in rcdriver or rc-car. I can't rember for shure, but it shuld work out. I dont see why not anyway its just a esc and its paired up on a brushless. Let us know how it works out.

Well it's not as plug and play as you think. A motor with more poles requires more signals from the esc to make one turn than a lesser poled motor. Ex: a 4 pole motor requires twice the signal to make one turn than a 2 pole motor. Not all ESCs can handle the additional signals.

I have been doing some more reading and research on the Mamba Max ESC and there are reports that it has overheating issues with motors that are 4 poled.
