I got a Losi Mini-Baja, and I broke the motor landing to hard. So I went for overkill to replace it. I got a mamba 8000kv and ESC on the way.

My concern is running it with a NiMH 1100mAh battery. Can I get away with it? Will it work? anything I can do to make it better?

Just not sure what to expect when it gets here, because I'm not ready for the Lipo jump yet

thanks

You can run the nimh with no issues. It won't have as much punch or top speed as a lipo pack but will work just fine with the Mamba 8K. Set the startup power to low on the ESC and disable the low voltage circuitry.

too late! The 7.2V is now resoldered into a hump pack for my 1/8 buggy. I ordered a 8.4V 30Amp battery and charger to compliment the Mamba system.

besides: "it wont have as much punch or top speed"? Screw that haha Mamba Comp-X for a reason! The lipo will still have to wait a bit longer. Thanks!

if you charge he 1100mah on 0.5 you will get an awesome charge and plenty of power for that mamba.
may rc18t got clocked at 42 with a way overchared 1400 and better gearing

sorry
PS - **** do not overcharge your battery****
just give it a chrage on 0.5 all the way through the charge and only ever charge it on that, it may not be a fast charge but you get PERFORMANCE out of it.
