making holes in painted shell???

hi, i have a hemi cuda savage body, but it has already been painted. last time i tried to line the body posts up with the body i made a mistake and i wreaked my body with another set of holes. whats the best way of making the holes line up with the body posts??? as i can't see where the posts are.

You should do that stuff before you paint the body.. saves you the trouble.

If you're trying to do it after the body has been painted, do this. Put a dab of something on the tips of your body posts. Something that will contrast the backing color of your body. If the body's backed in white, find something dark like light grease or RTV. If your body is backed in black, use something like white toothpaste or lithium grease. Then line up the body above the posts. Let the body settle down onto the posts and then lift it straight up again. When you turn the body over, you'll have little marks where the tops of the posts touched the body. Taa-daa. There you go.

There great if you paint a lot of bodies.
You put them on your body post, line it up to where you want it, and press down. Makes dimples so you can see where to ream.

thats hpi racing's hemi cuda body as shown on their website. as you can see your body has a blower or supercharger coming out the hood whihc is not the hpi racing hemi cuda.
