Is there a less-complicated way to use a Mac in order to program RC ESC’s?

My only current need for a Microsoft OS is for RC cars. I have looked, but am not finding a workaround.

Most ESC's have a bluetooth option for programming so you can use a mobile app on your phone or tablet.

Oracle VirtualBox. I use all the time.

It's a free Virtual Machine (VM), but you will need a Windows installation. It's also isolated so whatever you do in the VM stays in the VM. No way for it to effect the host (Mac) machine. There are some details about sharing ports and you probably need to load the Guest Additions too.
