If you get the price of hte servo's, radio N receiver, an motor your basicly around 500$..... so ur paying 150 for the truck ;)

Exactly! Then I could choose the engine, exhaust and electronics I want for my $150 truck. Or, I could ditch the buggy for the winter and use the electronics/engine/header/exhaust off of it and have a second MT to bash around with... again, for $150.

If they sold a rolling chassis for $200-$275, they wouldn't be able to keep them on the shelves. Would be a much smarter way to go for those of us who wouldn't mind having a Losi in our stable, but don't feel like shelling out $600+ right off the start for a bunch of crap we don't want.

(Same goes for the ... dare I say it... REVO!)

If you want to compare two parts of RC that opposite sides of the RC spectrum then you won't get a really good answer as there are some that will put buggies over MT's everyday and twice on Sunday. I think that the LST is a decent truck but the price is just too much for the lack of durabilty and then they come out with a version 2. I think the suggestions that have come out are awesome. Price it lower and have it come as a kit, no engine and electronics. Team Losi has good stuff but damn they are pricing things too high. The XS3 is a great radio as I have it but the Spectrum modules are coming up and its just a matter of time when they will sell the XS3 and pro for way cheaper. I have an LST at my house and it rocks even in stock form but would I have paid for it.... No. That is why its not mine.

Well, I going for it after Christmas.... see if the price drops. Not that it matters much, it's in my price range, and it has good overall reviews.

I just ordered one from Hobbytown@ 650. I am expecting it thursday. I'll let you guys know how it does and if its worth the money spent. I'm going to be putting it up against a revo so we will see.

Please let us know how it is. I am looking inot getting the original still and maybe just see what upgrades they did work better for it or not.

Thanks

I FINALLY GOT IT!!!!

This thing is pretty awesome. I would deffinetly recommend the LST2 just for the fact that it comes with the threaded shock bodies. That offers the tuneability that the first one didn't. I just got through braking it in and now that i have it tuned this thing is a ROCKET!!. It will do wheelies on demand(thats at an average opporating temp of 220 so no I didn't lean the crap out of it to do so). And when you set the suspension low it will take a curve like a champ. And when you put this thing in low range man will it climb. in low range you can't give it full throttle without it going belly up. IMHO i think its totally worth the extra 50 bucks for the LST2. My buddy has a revo that he is trying to get ready to run me. He did a FOC on the revo and dropped like 2 or 3lbs. So now he thinks he can outrun me. I'll let you guys know how it goes as soon as his is running again.

P.S. I LOVE MY LST2

That is y u buy one and then part it out.... done that once before and made a killing.. average out that i paid 85$ for the lst roller ;)

glad u got ur truck Mortifyd_Penguin! i knew they would eventually make another version.... I dont think there will ever be a KIT/ROLLER version from losi... cuz they know if they make it RTR ppl will buy it... there thinking ... 200-300 roller or 650 rtr HMMMMM like i said above the best thing to do is buy one an part it out (things u dont want)

I ordered mine today from southeastrc @ $589.99.

Yeh good price, no tax, and although shipping was $15? is was a good deal.
The only problem, I ordered a bunch of stuff with it, and 95% is on back order. (except the truck)

That was a good deal you got. I wished I had known of that site before I paid 650 for mine. but at that price its still worth it. I LOVE MINE.

The only thing I can complain about is Losi's choice of thread locker or the amount they put on the drive axle set screws. I lost one and had to relock the rest of the center driveshafts.

If you get one I suggest that you go ahead and redo all of the drive shaft set screws

Oh yah and the reverse servo saver is to weak if your idle isn't set just right it won't engage. there trying to keep from breaking the transmission.

If you don't feel like buying the LST2 and you own the LST1, Losi makes a kit that you can convert you truck to the new LST2.You get the revised side rails, suspension arms, steering, rear hubs, bearings, dust cover,diff.covers,20mm hexes,420 dish wheels,hi/lo selector knob, trans housing, oversided axles. the kit sells for $130

I Recently Purchased A Lst2 And It Smokes My Buddys Savage And Revo. It Is A Good Deal For The Price And Handles Like A Smaller Truck.

lst2 came thursday broke it in ,man this thing is quick for a truck this size

I got me one bout a week ago and i love it. This thing is fast and handles great. I had a savage and sold it to get the LST2 and dont regret it abit. This thing can do things my savage couldnt do and i did like my savage. Was a great purchase for me even tho it is a pricy truck.

LST2 tires and wheels

Hey guys I am new to RCNitroTalk, I just got an LST2 the other day I used to have a savage and a REVO and I love this this LST2. I had a question though, I know that they changed the hubs and axle, wheel size to 20mm but is there a way to intall the old lst wheels and tires because I like those wheels and tires alot better than the dish ones. Please let me know!
