Can anyone suggest an aftermarket company that offers lower ratio gear combinations (for more top end) for the LST/LST2? Thanks.

The LST does not respond well to gearing changes. The best way to get more top end is to install a quality .28 engine such as the LRP Spec 3 and a JP-2 pipe with stock gearing. This combo is deadly on a LST.
To answer your question though, Losi makes them. He had the LHS order it. My bud ordered a +1 CB, every engine we tried it on lost top-end. Even the almighty STS .30 was slower with the +1 CB. This was a race-prepped Aftershock that weighs about 10.5 lbs. It turns lap times so close to truggies it's not funny.

If you do away with reverse and get a FOC, you can do an internal gear swap that is similar to adding 1.5 teeth to the CB, then add the +1 CB that losi offers.

Also, there's a guy that makes +2 - +6 CB's for the old LST threaded CB.

8Mans Pinions

You can also sometimes find 8mans pinions on ebay.

On my aftershock (doesn't have reverse), I did the internal gear swap (mild dremeling required) and added the +1 losi bell due to running smaller diameter tires more similar to t-maxx 2.5 tires. With my setup, I can catch up to and pass my buddies with their LST2's stock geared and large 420's stock tires. They can never catch me... kind of sad being the faster of the group... nobody wants to play cat/mouse games after you beat them 10 times in a row with ease. All in good fun though.

I may want to mention I run an LRP28S3 with an HPI polished pipe. I'd like a little more speed, but it's damn fast as it is. The engine could easily pull two more teeth on the CB. I just don't feel like doing it as it's already too fast for many of my bash areas.

When I want fast... I break out my jato with a 18TM in it. ;)

Thanks guys. I appreciate your input. Right now I'm looking for just strictly more top speed for a large track. I'm running 420 sized tires but on some tracks I still top out too early on the straights. Thanks for the link to 8mans! And thanks for the motor/pipe advice too, as that may come in handy down the road here. :)
