I've got a LRP ZR32X Spec 4.1 in my Savage. This motor is a beast! I love it! Tons of power and break in was a breeze. However after probably a gallon the engine started showing signs of an air leak. After tons of troubleshooting, replacing the front bearing, fuel tank, fuel lines, carburetor, back plate I swapped the carb I had from my LRP28 and all of my issues went away. I was kind of confused. The LRP28 came with a standard 3 needle carb but I swapped it out for a new LRP 4 needle carb and that car still runs great. No tuning issues whatsoever. I figured out that the issue was from an air leak on the MSN. I don't know why the carbs on my LRP32 has the air leak but the one in my LRP28 is fine. I'm going to try an o-ring kit for it to see if that fixes the issue but just thought I'd throw this out there.

The LRP is still a great engine. For whatever reason SH is still having carb issues with this motor. SH makes a few different brands including Dynamite so I tried to put on the carb from my Big Red but the throats were different sizes.

If you're having issues with the 4 needle carbs(LRP ZR.32X .32 Spec 4.1 PowerCarb4 15S-3)

try swapping it for the 3 needle that comes on the LRP ZR28 Spec 4(LRP ZR.28/ZR.32 Spec.4 Slide Carburetor)

Those are 3needle, and 2needle carbs. The idle screw is a stop, and therefor does not count as a needle.

Most folks end up running OS 21j carbs on their LRP .32’s because of the issues with the LRP unit.
Technically yes, it's a 3 needle since the idle screw isn't normally counted. But I've seen people refer to them as 4 needles. That's the only reason why I phrased it the way that I did.

I’m just trying to help misinformation not be spread. Just because people do it doesn’t make it right… I’ve also heard people post items “for SELL”… or they will “sale it”… Believe me-it sounds just as ridiculous to those who know they are two, and three needle… So again-not being a diick-there’s no technically to it; it’s right, or it isn’t.. Good luck with your LRP carb, and engine. 🍻🤙

Can't please everyone can we? lol. I get it. No worries. I didn't know that the OS 21j carbs fit on the LRPs. That's good to know though.
