I think I will on the gray panels and then grab the black ones and try to paint em.
If it were me, Id probably grab more grey ones to paint. I always primer grey my hard body stuff first anyway. And any scuffs would look better over grey panels as opposed to showing black through the scuffs. Just my opinion 😉

But they don’t sell them in grey, at least right now anyways. The way they did it was you ordered the kit not knowing what one of 6 colors you would get. The only other option I see is getting the black ones for the rtr version

I may end up ordering the black panels for the rtr version and try to paint it. The decals were the reason I grabbed the blue wheels too, but I ain’t married to them either…decisions 🤣

Main goal is complete though to get this mess off the bench before Wednesday 😂
I'd paint it gray... just for the practice. :hehe:

Oh. I thought you could buy all the colors. So you got a bit of a unicorn? That's pretty cool. Then yeah, black ones 😝

Prove it!

Just send the Tekno kit back!

:joyful:
Uhh I think I lost it

Well i went ahead with finishing this build up with the kit livery. Vanquish and I aren’t off to a great start 😂 but I won’t go into that 😂

My bench lighting sucks for pics and it’s storming so I can’t get better ones outside, but I’ll try before the boy gets it even more dirty 😂

The decals were a little more challenging then I thought 😂 the roof was 3 pieces and the side panels were 2 pieces. Stickers and I don’t get along but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out
Watch this guy do the windows on this body. That's how I was taught to do decals when I was a kid. I still hate the big ones, but simple ones, even if they wrap around stuff are a bit of a breeze. You still have to account for the backer as you're aligning the decal around a bend, as the decal will go farther than you thought after the backer comes out, but this method works wonders.

Here is an actual decalling video, and one of his easier ones. The guy does amazing work, with really tricky decals.
