Losi XXX-S or Associated TC3 that is the question

I need someone to convince me to purchase either the Team Losi XXX-S or the Associated TC3. What I know about on road cars or electrics for that matter you can fit in a thimble. I know the TC3 is shaft driven the the Losi is belt driven, which I know could come into play if I will be using this outdoors, which I might on occasion. What I would really like to do is dabble in carpet racing at a LHS. I know I will never be competitive especially since I will not be sinking a lot of funds into this car. I just want to race around the track even if I come in last every time.

Yes it does, but I am trying to keep my start up cost as low as possible. I am trying to slide this one past the wife LOL.

you may be able to find a losi xxx-s g+ used for a reasonable price. many racers are selling their xxx-s now since the newest craze is the xray t1fk. i bought a xxx-s with a bunch of extra parts for $180. i haven't raced it yet indoors because i am having so much fun running 1/12.
