I wanna know what YOU think

Rather than hijack another thread I'm just going to start a new one. I too, will be looking for a buggy to build this fall when the weather gets crappy.

After reading post after post after post I've narrowed it down to two. Correct me if I'm wrong: Both are excellent kits. Both come sans radio, servos and engine. Both can use starter boxes.

Christian's favorite, the XXX-NT Adam Drake
http://www.teamlosi.com/kits/xxxnt_drake.htm

And another favorite, the Kyosho MP-7.5 Inferno Kanai Edition II
http://www.kyosho.com/cars/kyoc0562.html

The Drake is light with its graphite chassis components and performance hopups.

The Kanai has additional features over the standard 7.5 kit even though the standard kit appears to have durable specs already.

Would someone NOT recommend either of these performance models over the standard kit?

Build yours like I did mine, one night and a little into the following day. I don't have jack for experience on buggies but I do know aside from not being able to land a speed bump well I like everything I have about my Inferno.

Thanks El P! I keep seeing your Inferno flattening its nose as I consider getting one.

Wait until after this weekend and maybe I'll successfully land a few jumps and the nose getting worn down will be redeamed, hopefully Sky gets the jumps on film, either that or my roommate on his return to bashing after a stint in the sandbox. I may not be the one posting the stuff since I leave for Panama on Monday, but I'll probably find time to post pics.

The Kanai 2 is a pricey mutha, but nice. Around here, seems as if the track guys take the Kanai 1 over the 2 for some reason, or, just get the Inferno MP 7.5 kit.

The Drake just plain kicks ass on moderate to smooth terrain. can't handle excessively bumpy areas because its so light it just goes all over. I'm talkin monster truck terrain. But a damn fine vehicle.
