RC Driving Style
This pertains to all R.C., but since I mostly wrench on Nitro, I thought I may as well just post it here.

Today I picked up both a Metric and US set of hex drivers. Even though I have an OFNA set I am very happy with, I decided to get another set for the field regardless. After eyeing them up for a couple of months, touching them, using them and getting a decent price, I just could not refuse.

I will be wrenching on my NTC-3 tonight, my TMaxx, and a quick change on the Drake. I will be certain to let everyone know how they work out now, and months from now.

I've got the metrics. I've put quite a bit of abuse on mine and they are still as good as new. They are very high quality. Only thing was, after taking the 3.0mm one out of its box I noticed Losi had only ground one of the six sides down:wtf: Still looked like a drill bit blank with a flat side. Lhs exchanged it for me. They couldnt believe it when I told em about it. The handles can be hard to grip when you want to really torque something, like when you used plenty of loctite.

I have got a set of these and i absolutly love them best $40 bucks i have spent in this hobby yet

Well the verdict is in!

These drivers are KICK ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wrenched on 4 of my rides all weekend. Completely tore down and reassembled my NTC3 and the wrenches did awesome! The true test was my heavy handed tightening of the motor mount screws and they definately did not give at all!

The ONLY thing I did not like was the shaft length on a couple of them. IMO, they should all be long enough to tighten ANY head on ANY ride. Granted, what I was trying to tighten called for a ball end anyhow....

GREAT SET OF DRIVERS!

I will update again in a couple of months as to their long term use and abuse!

After doing a search to prevent reviewing something already written up...I have to ask, Chris, where's the long term use and abuse update? It has been a few months...

Anyway, I thought I would add a  to this thread and revive it for those who might be in the market for a good set of drivers.

After wearing out just about every Craftsman, Allen, and other hardware variety hex set on my RCs, I finally broke down and picked up a set of these drivers. Mind you it was not due to any endorsement from this site (as I said I did this search tonight to find out if I would be duplicating a previous review).

Independently I stumbled upon them, and they are awesome. I purchased a metric set (since my RCs use mostly metric hex heads). I have built one buggy, torn down my Savage for installing new parts, and taken apart my T-Maxx for some work...these drivers rock.

If there are any newbies out there looking for something to spend $40 on, make it a set of quality drivers like these.
