I've got a Losi 8ight truggy and i need a good strong steering servo. what should i get. i am going to stick with analog and i want steel gears!!!

The Hitec HS-5945MG would be a great steering servo for the Losi 8ight. The 5945MG puts out 180oz of torque with a speed of 0.13sec!

I agree. It offers the best bang for the buck.

i also agree with the hitec 5945, i have one in my LSP truggy and it works great, awesome servo for the money

I've used the JR 9100T with great success, not sure quite how i compares as far as price / torque to the hitec... :2cents:

yeah... just a tad stronger ;)

If you want to stay "analog", the hitec 985MG isn't a bad one. It's .13 sec/172oz @ 6V. I use them for throttle/break on my buggy and aftershock. I like the security of knowing they are sealed with o-rings. Being fast, metal geared and high torque is just a bonus.

I've had so many problems with hitec i could not recommend one of their servos..just an opinion..180oz is not enough for a truggy..buggy maybe but at the speeds that truggies are running 200oz is the minimum..I run 200oz for my throttle servo, I use a JR 9100T for steering and for throttle an Airtronics 94358..great combo..I would look at the Ace 1015..great servo for the money..way underrated..Ace claims 200 oz at .10 but tests put it at more like 270oz at .08. I hear of guys having great luck with hitec servos..I dont know any racers who have had luck with hitec's personally..but i guess if you make a million servos your bound to get a few right every now and again..
