Looking for tools

I need to stop using the hex wrenches that came with my kits and get some real tools. I need handles man.
I'm having trouble finding a good set of hex drivers, metric and standard. Are there any sets out there that has both for about $40??

Certain things I won't go shopping for at the LHS. I picked up a good set of ball-hex wrenches from my local contractors tool and supply store. (Tacoma Screw, actually. Famous just for the name!) The ball hexes are great for those screws where you don't have a straight-in shot, like the tower mounts on a Maxx. I still break them loose and torque them down with the L-wrenches and use the ball hex drivers to spin 'em in and out.

I bought Craftsman sets at Sears. Not nearly as exspensive as "R/C" wrenches and they work just fine. The ball end type are good for places where you need to be on an angle to get at the fastener.

I've stripped many an Allen Wrench...do the drivers hold up better??

Cool. I thought about getting some Craftsman wrenches. Guaranteed for life ya know!!

Ok, then all I need is the most common sizes in metric and standard. :write:

I only own a Maxx and can't speak for other models. (But I would assume that there's a commonality that exists between several models!)

Most of the Maxx is held together with 2.0 and 2.5mm. The set screws on the servo push rod stops are 1.5mm. The steering knuckle pivot ball caps are 5mm.

Please note I'm referring to the fitting wrench sizes and not actual screw sizes.

robriguez: Mine are holding up real well. Even if they would start rounding off they are more than long enough that they can be ground down many times before they would be unuseable.
