I am looking for accessories for revo 3.3 truck. Want some cool after market accessories. Please help!!!!!!

hold up, whats that you say ??

hmmm........

FAILSAFE, FAILSAFE, FAILSAFE, not cool, not hip, not fab, but WILL stop a runaway in the event of signal loss. One with a built in volt checking feature is best, it stops the rig if the voltage of the rx pak goes below a pre-defined level.

RPM Arms up front
RPM True track arms in the rear,

TRX Red Aluminum pushrods
TRX Gunmetal Grey Aluminum Toe Links

Centre diff kit w/rear brake kit (requires new trans case rear & foc kit)

Forwards only Conversion (FOC) kit

Tekno Sway Bar Kit

TRX resonator tuned pipe,

Motorsaver air filter

FUEL FILTER !!!

Rear wing mount kit and wing. It acts to stop the rig flipping backwards onto its skid lid (body) and looks cool whilst being functional as well.

A spare rx pak or two.

Anything else to my mind, would be a waste of $$ just for the "bling" factor. Of course, it is your choice.

also get some rpm a arms they will save you alo in the long run

Never mind, thunder covered it all....

hey, thanks for that mobile...............

where you at ? USA ??

Greg,

A lot of people SWEAR by the FOC kit as it eliminates know issues from the transmission system. The reverse "optidrive" unit is a known failure item and the extra weight from the reverse gears does little to help rotational mass. In short, the reverse equipment adds weight to the trans, slowing it down and costing energy from the engine that can be better used on a lighter tranny (and i dont mean THAT kind of tra.......oh never mind :hehe: ).

I converted my new trans the day I got it, having had the reverse version (originally fitted to the truck) screw up completely. It ended up snapping a shaft in the trans and wrecking most of the gears at the same time as it damaged the trans case !

All that and you forgot to mention the glow ignitor and pullstart...LOL.:whhooo: That and the FOC are the two #1 items in my book.:D Then I would get one good servo to replace the twin setup (if you have it). Next would be a pipe (I prefer THS) but resonators are good, if your rig didn't come with it. The trick is what YOU want to do with the truck. Do you bash? Or race? I wouldn't get a center diff for bashing, unless you hate wheelies. Now for skulls....I don't know. I am not a bling guy, I look for the stuff that matters. Yeah I don't mind if it looks cool too:hehe:. If you are a backyard basher (and you probably are), then consider the first four things above. You can get those items for about 130+ dollars. You'll have a completely different truck. Rd logics has a maltese cross skidplate that I couldn't resist, but that's on my maxx.

hey 2 revo, you gotta give the n00b's at least SOMETHING to work out for themselves eh ? :hehe:

besides, i knew you would show up and sorta, just casually drop it into the conversation like, kinda like "oh yeah course, and you'd also need a glow ignitor, and pull start to kill off all the added weight of the e-z start, but you'd suffer with pull starter shoulder......" :p

One thing 2 revo... Greg has the r.o.s.s system so he needs the e-z start motor !! nah nah nah nah naaa naaah :p

r.o.s.s = remotely operated starting system

Yeah you got me there.:\I need to read more carefully I guess. It's all just my opinion.....or what I would do anyway.;)

Greg, don't take this the wrong way, but stick to getting the rig ready to roll with the above mentioned upgrades, "bling" can be added later down the line.

I gotcha. I've put on a c-vec tuned pipe with header, changed out pushlods and turnbuckels, changed out rockers to long travel, and new shocks. It's a work in progress, just looking to spice it up a little.

and a sway kit.

I do have a question. When i am speeding up it turns to the right slightly then when i slow down it turns to the left???? Is it just adjusting turnbuckels till it works out?

It's about weight transfer and the fact that the chassis weight is not balanced.

its an anachorism of the revo.l You could try tweaking the REAR drag links to dial it in a little, but it's never going to disappear fully, at least not I.M.E

You may need to set the camber. One of the front wheels, probably on the right, has more negative camber than on the left. When you slow down more weight is placed on the front wheels, which puts more camber to both wheels anyway. The one with the most camber wins the fight and your vehicle pulls to the opposite direction. Have you ever been rolling a car tire along and noticed how it wants to turn whichever way it's leaning? Picture that. This is my most common scenario with my revos. You may also have a toe, bump steer angle, servo saver, servo or control arm/hinge pin issue as well. The pulling to the right under power is most likely an alignment issue too. That doesn't mean you don't have a bad shock, unequal length pushrods or bent rocker post either.

Just in case you don't know what bump steer is, it's when the toe changes depending on the ride height, or if you're accelerating/braking hard the toe will change too.

2revo..........

Could you explain to me, why, when everything on the front end of my revo is set the same from side to side, on new pushrods, rocker posts, steering arms, same camber, same toe, perfect ackerman (angle of the steering hubs during turning), brand new chassis, everything bolted down as it should be, that i get left pull under acceleration and right pull under braking yet after i tweaked the rear end it straightened it out a little even thought the rear end was perfectly set before ?

Just asking, as i would like to know......

Greg, sorry to hijack ya, jhust asking a question, hope you dont mind.
