I got back to the hobby a couple of weeks ago and I'm looking for a 1/10 nitro stadium truck to take to the track on the weekends (no bashing, I have one for that).

I've seen the Hpi Nitro Firestorm and the Traxxas Nitro Rustler but I am looking for other options, something more race oriented, preferably a disassembled kit without engine so I can chose my own to start with and build it from scratch.

Are there any brands selling kits out there? Most stuff is RTR

Thats why Traxxas is so difficult for they are all RTR, so I would go HPI Firestorm, they are a badass little ST and simple to work on.

^^ Yeah but how can you not like this?

Gave my LHS a call today and seems that they have better stock for the firestorm than the others. I really liked the associated rc10gt but I don't want to limit myself on spares availability that much, spares are hard to come by as it is down here.

Off to get a Firestorm roller on ebay. Will drop an OS engine in, proline body, a good set of wheels and see how it turns out.
