I am looking to get into and 1/8 buggy for some fun running/racing. I dont want to spend he cash for a Losi or anything like that. A RTR is fine with me. I was thinking either and OFNA or something similar in the $300-400 range. Any suggestions?

i have the ofna picco buggyand love it. can find it for 279$ all over the web. i chose this rtr for the picco engine. it took about 1 1/2 gallons to get it broke in. the motor is easy to tune and holds tune well. with the extra money upgrade the servos right away, or at least the steering servo. would recomend hitec 7955tg around a 100$ but u buy it once. the hitec 645 mg will work ok 45$ but i did strip a few gear sets before i upgraded to the 7955. the rtr servos are very weakand will not hold up. in the 6 months I've been running I've only bent a shock shaft, and broke a couple of front lower arms. Has been a very tough buggy. hope this helps and good luck

1/8 scale buggy

Hi if you are still looking for a nitro buggy i have one I'm selling it has a new axial 28spec 1 on it all you will ned to do is run the brake in on it and ad fuel the buggy is rtr asking 200+shipping email me if you need pics [email protected]

Umm if i were you i would go with the Ansmann Virus 1/8th RTR, there is one website which has all parts availalbe, i always order my parts off there, its very durable, simple and does about 45-50mph stock. I've found it perfect as my starter buggy and my friends have both bought HOBAO/OFNA hypers and they have had alot more problems than i have, check it out, its a good buggy.

If you want a nice kit Buggy, then check out the Hot Bodies D8 or D8 Hara Edition. The kits are cheap compared to other race kits, and have been VERY durable for me this season despite the inexpensive price.

You can also find used D8s that are RTR for cheap money....

Hyper 7 or Kyosho would get my vote, both are good beginner buggies and parts are easy to find for them.

Since you're not ready for the 8ight maybe try the 810 from Losi. It's a cheaper way to get started in 1/8 buggy, and still a solid car.
