Hello all,

This will be the first time I have attempted to use LMF and I was wondering if it would be easier to put the LMF stuff on before I start cutting/drilling the body.

Thanks.

I would cut/ drill first, then mask.
This way the mask wont accidently peel up when you cut things off.
And it will ensure that you can mask the fresh edges and keep paint where you want it.

Agreed. You should definately cut out everything before applying the mask. It does not have an extremely strong bond to the lexan so if you start trying to cut it you'll probably rip a lot of it up.

I always trim and wash the body before painting whether I am using lm or not. It's much easier to fit the body properly to the truck while it is clear. Marking the body post holes, engine head hole, antenna hole, all much easier while the lid is clear. But I also highly recommend trimming it prior to using lm, or it will peel up as you try and trim it.

That's the RC Painter of the year talkin' there yO. :)

Trimming before paiting is absolutely critical when doing an on-road body as you absolutely MUST be able to see how much clearance at the wheel wells and lining up the body post holes is also crucial.

ok, thanks for the help there, i was just wondering because it would be easier to apply with no holes and stuff :-P

Ill cut and drill then mask,
