I'd like to try a Lipo RECEIVER battery for my Jammin Truggy to lighten it up some. Kinda scared of the new technology and the dang thing exploding in my face. :flaming:

Could anyone recommend a good (dummy-proof) CHARGER and receiver battery?

Once you factor in the additional weight of a 6V voltage regulator and LVC (Low voltage cutoff device), there is not much difference in weight between a nimh pack and a lipo pack ~ 20 grams. The real benefit is that the lipo pack has a much more gradual discharge curve and will hold a higher voltage than a nimh pack throughout the discharge cycle.

RX specific packs available from Apogee and Pro-tek. There is no such thing as a dummy proof lipo charger, care is required when handling any lipo pack.
