A LiPo requires a charger that is capable of charging and balancing it.

You want the highest mAh rated lipo you can find that will fit in the battery box of your kit.
Most 2S 5000 LiPo battery packs will fit in a standard 6 cell NiMH battery box if the hieght the battery holder is adjustable to the taller sized LiPo Battery Pack. I like the Venom Universal 2s 5000 40c battery packs such as this one. I can get about 30 minutes of run time out of this battery pack.
You will need to make sure your R/Cs electronics are capable of handling LiPo battery packs before you spend the money on them. Not all are equipped to handle them and you can fry your ESC or receiver if your not careful. Because LiPo Battery Packs are 7.4 volts and not the standard 7.2 volts that a NiMH pack is.
