I've never used liquid mask before and I'll like to make a try, wich likid mask you consider the best and how do yo apply to the body.

I use Bob Dively Liquid Masking and never had any problems with it.

I apply 4 coats with a 1" (bristle) paint brush.

I tried the parma stuff and I hated it! I will never use it again. I know ImBroken has been using plasticoat clear spray, he said it worked well, you might want to ask him.

I have used the Bob Dively and it works good. I use a slightly different application method. To me, trying to brush it on is difficult and uneven. So I thin it with water until I can shoot it through an airbrush. Then you can get good even heavy coats on. You do need to get a heavy coat of this stuff on there. If it's too thin, it's very difficult to peel off once you get paint on it. I know Parma has liquid mask out now, but I haven't tried it yet.

I also use dively's and like it alot. I currently just plop a big pile of it in the center of the lid and spread it out with a brush. I have been meaning to try shooting it on also, (because it does get pretty uneven with a brush, and corners take alot longer to dry this way) but havnt got to try it yet. But yeah, Divelys is some good stuff.

Dively's liquid mask here too (bought it from Digital Liquid if you still remember him -- where the hell is he anyway?). My compressor sucks so I brush it on with a foam type brush.

i used some liquid mask for my first paint job ever and it was really easy to use, but then again it was just for the fender flares, nothing super technical, I know a lot of these guys here do some serous paint jobs, but brushing on a few coats with a small brush worked really well

cool! So all you do is spread it around, then cut out the designs that you want to paint? What happens if you put too much on?

The more liquid mask, the better.. I usually brush on 4 HEAVY coats myself.. Never tried shooting it with an airbrush though. I would think you would have to water it down quite a bit.. I have also been using a product called Plast-Dip in a spray can. Lessen introduced this to me, and it does work really well. It does smell very bad when applying it though.. Good luck Kazi..

Dively's applied with a foam brush here. Usually 4 to 6 coats.

4 coats of Dively's with a brush here. Be sure to let it dry completely between coats, and it should peel nicely. I imagine the FasKolor Mask is about the same stuff.

So you apply Dively's on the entire car and then how do you peel the sections that you want? Exacto knife? and how much does it take to do an entire body? Should I just buy the big 32 oz bottle?

Sorry for all of the questions.

You can never have to much Liquid mask, so Id buy the big jug. (Esp. if ya plan on painting a few lids). But yeah, as far as the sections, draw your scheme on the outside of the lid. Then smear on the liquid mask, then after it dries (Id do at least 3 good coats) it dries pretty clear and you can cut out the design (Exacto knifes work slick) on the inside threw the mask. Then peel away the ones ya want to paint. Be sure to post up some pics of your work! Youll like the liquid mask. Its some good stuff!
