Anyone racing one of these, not bashing?? I'm thinking bout getting one & putting in either a Rossi N528XR8 or a RB TM928... I race a 777 sp1 & know the msr kits are good, but I don't want to convert it to a truggy... Seems like a good price for all the carbon fiber & alluminum pieces the kit comes with, although I'm not a big fan of alluminum ams... Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,
Mike.

the pro r is basically a lightning stadium minus the radio gear and engine. Its a great truck and will be very competitive at the track.

There are some differences between the two. The Pro-R comes with thicker front hingepin brace, carbon fiber radio tray and center diff brace. It also has aluminum brackets for the rear chassis brace and the beefier finned motor mounts. I will look when I get home from work for a site that breaks down all the differences. I will tell you I have the Pro-R and by just adding a P5 w/ JP-1 pipe and my radio equipment this thing is awesom right outta the box.

I watched a couple of these run the unlimited class at a couple races this year and have to say they were the dominant truck. I was talking to one of the guys running one and he said the truck is really forgiving but it really does handle great. I'm looking to get one myself but I think my wife is going to beat me over the head with it if she sees another rc magically appear in the house!

I personally run one of these truck with the Novarossi N528 motor. It's a great handling truck and respond well to adjustments. I recently had a pro-driver from Tamiya drove the truck and it was so much fun for him he didn't want to give the controller back to me :) The Hot Bodies guys are serious about racing as well with this truck with a lot of setup tips available if you contact their customer service staff.

The truck is also very durable, juding from all the bad landings I gave the truck and all the miscalculated cornering into the outside concrete wall. The best part i think about the truck is it's about $100-$120 less than what the other truggy are going for, and you get a lot for your money.
