These are much superior batteries. They use these type of batts of laptops and have a huge compacity and no memory. So why not on a RC?

Before I got into Nitro, I was heavily involved in the electrics and did alot of researching these Li-Ion batteries. I found this website that talked about run times somewhere between 1.5 to 2 hours on a 6 cell stick pack. Never did find out what the cost was. Alot of the electric gee-whiz stuff trickles down from the air guys. So, if you can match up brushless motors with 2 hour run times, I'd say you'd have a line of people at the register. But, it isn't all about bigger, better, faster. You just can't beat the sound or the smell of a Nitro.

Li-Ion and Li-Polymer batts are all the rage with electric helis.
Do a search for Kokams. They are the most popular. The batts are a flat pack that resemble a PCMCIA card and are 3V. You need a special charger for them so don't hook them up to your standard changer or BOOM!!!

I wonder when they will break onto the nitro car schene as you might be able to run a whole gallon with Li-ion's in the TX and RX.

I ran a search earlier and didn't like the fact they only came in specific sizes with nothing for you to build like NiMH or NiCD batteries.
