Just ordered my first Lipos. But i have many questions..

1. Is the Duratrax Ice a good charger?

2. what is the purpose of a Lipo Balancer?

3.What equipement do i need for Lipos?

4. TIPS AND SAFETY?

5. Lipo Cutoff?

1. Yes, i use it, and love it.
2. The lipo balancer charges your lipo cells individually and balances them to equal voltage to keep them running longer and better. Cells deplete slower and faster than each other, but need to keep the same voltage.
3. All you would need is somthing to store/charge them such as a fireproof box/lipo sack/ ammo box.
4. Treat just like all batteries. Dont throw them around, or puncture them. inspect each charge/run to insure that no visible damage has occured. (cuts, swelling, wire's stripping their insulation)
5. what are you running it in? What ESC?

running on verillion brushless slash and maybe on my stock rustler and slash

the velenion setup has its own lipo cutoff. read your manual. it will tell you everything you need to know about how to turn the cutoff on. With the stockers, you need an external cutoff.

Yes. I believe for 3s to 6s is right around the same. They go in between the esc and rx. The throttle cogs when they're approaching low level and a led lights up. Sweet set up. There's a few different brands on flea bay. Venom and ae are the first 2 that come to mind. Search lipo cut. Not lipo cut off.
