My truck fire right up but as soon as I hit the gas it stalls if i gradualy give it gas to around half throttle it will move slowly across the yard any more than half and it dies so should I lean it out or is it running out?

It sounds like its rich, but you need to explain your problem more. Does it sputter? What are your temps?

If it bogs down , then u need to lean it out. But more detail would help us to get a better understanding of ur problem.

It spits and spuders as far as temps do you mean outside or the motor I'm new to nitro and I just got my truck it is cold here I live in Colorado the motor I'm guessing wasn't to hot. Truck just doesn't respond very well is there anyway to tune it with out guessing or is just a hit or miss type of thing? I've done tons of work with real cars but nothing ever like this.

definatly rich. start by tuning your hsn then go do your lsn. I would suggest getting a temp gauge. It will save you some headaches in the long run, and prob some money.

What's your elevation? Thin air makes these things run like crap. I've read that changing to a higher nitro content (30%) helps with the thin air environments.

the elevation in 5008 mile high city :) and I have been using 20% nitro so mabe I will give that a try. How do you use a temp guage I guess what I mean is what is a good temp for a .15 trx motor to run at and also which is the hsn and which is the lsn ? I dont even know what that stands for I'm guessing the Isn is Idle seat needle? and is that the smaller needle???????

I'm new to nitro motors? If it was a blown Chevy 454 I wouldnt have any problems lol

the hsn is the high speed needle it the one that the fule line from your fule tank hooks to.You turn it clockwise to lean counter to richen.the LSN is your low speed needle..same thing with the hsn clockwise to lean counter to richen
OH the lsn is located on the side of the carb slide (were your throtle linkage hooks up to)
your idle screw is on the carb body right under the LSN..
If you cutting out your running to rich turn your hsn in clockwise an 1/8 of a turn and run it for a few miniuts..keep doing this in till you get it to run w/out cutting out..you may have to adjust you idle.after you get it running and idleing good you can start to adjust your LSN for performance.
Remember little adjustments 1/16 to 1/8 turns and remember what you did and take your time..

And a nother thing take your air filter off and look down the venturi you want the throtle body open about 1.5mm to 2.0mm about the thickness of a cridet card..this is with the raido and reciver on...

A good temp. is around 240 to 280.
good luck and keep us posted

Thanks for the info I will try it out later on My neighbor works nights and we live close so I will give her some time to sleep before I start making all kinds of noise lol. I will let you know how it goes thanks again

If you live higer you have less oxygen available in the air. You have to compensate and actually lean your engine more so than at sea level. If you are at factory settings you will actually need to lean it more. When the factory sends it out the send it out set for sea level or close since most of the nation does not live @ 5000+ ft. Be very careful and lean the highspeed needle first as I think that is your problem. Lean in in 1/8th turns and run it up and back on the street and see where your at, if it still sputters and cuts out lean it 1/8th more and try again. To lean the HSN you will need to turn it clockwise. What type of glow plug are you using? I would first get it so it will not cut out when opening the throttle. After that then worry about the idle setting (which should be too high after you make the HSN adjustment). To lower the idle turn idle screw counter clockwise. When you adjust your idle screw make sure your brake is set to full brake. You can either adjust that on your TX or just hold the brake with one habd while you adjust the idle with the other. Hope that helps a little.

Traxxas actually has a pretty nice troubleshooting form for each vehicle. It's actually pretty slick.

This is the trouble shooter if you have the .15 pro

And this is the ts if you have the new 2.5
