Is this truck worth the money 2 buy, build, then get servose reciever and transmitter and a engine and exhaust ???

I believe you will also need to buy tires..... lol Unless your a hardcore racer, or a "Gotta have it" guy like some of us, I would say get a cheaper buggy...

From what I have heard the Kanai 2 is also a very good buggy and it is cheaper than te Kanai 3.

You know what... I have been tossing the Kanai idea around in my head for about 6 months now.
Kanai 3 kit $700
servos $200-250
tires $50
wheels $40
Kanai 3 engine $350-$400
Radio $200
Starter box $80
body $20
I am one of those guys that Imbroken was talking about.
I am a gotta have it guy.
But. If you think long and hard, unless your gonna be racing this thing every week, and feel that paying $1700 (at least) for a buggy, that that will give you the winning edge......
Most of us will bash more then race one of these buggies.
It's like bringing a new Lamborgini to a demolition derby.
Yeah, it can probably take a good bashing, but why would you want to.
In my opinion, a buggy like that would be more as a "race only buggy".
I'm now looking into a Hyper 7 PCR.
you get everything with the car, RTR for like $550. click here for buggy and price
It's good for racing and bashing as well.
Just my 2 cents.
I know others might not agree

I completely agree. If you want a GREAT buggy but dont want to go all out for a raceing machine go for the standard 7.5 With engine pipe radio and everything else should come in inder $800 depending on the engine/servos/radio.

The PCR is a very nice buggy as well and much cheaper.

Whatever you do stay away from the SPORTS models. They are usually lower grade and no where near as tough.

Ya, I'm jus gonna get a regular MP 7.5 kit instead of a Kanai. And stay away from the sports model like robriguez said. Or if money permits, I'll get a K2 or 777.

Is the K3 even worth 700$ just for the KIT ?!?!?!?!?!

Yes. $700 is a good price too.

I'm a basher I'm goin 2 go w/ a "Ofna 9.5 pro" or the "Ofna King Pin 9.f MBX" ..........but i wanna kno if they are kits or RTR. I have a question but it is off the subject. Under your log-in name some people have different words under there how do u change it ???

May i ask what is your opinion on the best buggy ???

Damn near any Kyosho or Mugen buggy is going to be worth the money. Hands down, they are the finest crafted buggies I've seen and handled.

But do NOT limit your choices by flashy high priced kits. You can build up a SERIOUS basher buggy from companies such as OFNA, GS and Swift. I have even seen a couple of XTM buggies done up nice.

So lets say you pickup and OFNA and decide to replace out a bunch of parts with Fioroni or Hardcore and companies of the such. You will EASILY exceed the kit cost of the K3. And then some.

Ultimately, a very well built out buggy that can take the abuse and handle well will more than likely set you back over a thousand dollars.

Just my 2 cents.

After you reach a certain amount of posts, you will be able to type in what you want.
I think it's 500. ?????

I think there's a few buggies out there that are Pro level quality, but the Mugen MBX and the Kyosho Kanai buggies get all the fame. They are excellent machines..

Mugen and Kyosho spend big bucks on team drivers. They have more drivers then anyone else, they give their team drivers more equipment then anyone else, and they fly them to more events. This is probably why you see a lot more Kyosho and Mugen drivers at the big events then you do GS and other companies.

Does having more team drivers make your buggy better? Not really. Does having more team drivers make your buggy look better with so many good drivers driving them? You bet it does.

You won't be upset with a Kanai or an MBX, but you probably also wouldn't be upset with a number of other buggies out there either. Like they say, it's a lot more about the driver then the car. As long as you set up your car as good as it can be set up, it's all up to you. Take this from someone with a decked out Storm Pro with a powerful engine that gets tooled by guys driving Ofna MBX's.

the guy a my lhs was trying to get me to buy a meyham buggy he said it a very good one and for the it was a great deal rtr but i dont know they sell on ebay for around 500 rtr anyone heard of this?
