which one is better guys? Trying to see which one I should buy.
Here are the things i am compareing and looking at which all 3 have:
1) forward/reverse transmission
2) Eazy start/push button start
3)4WD
4) RTR (includes radio, transmitor, servos, engine..etc)

I'm not sure but it seems the T-maxx is the aftermarket king and there are alot of people with T's who can help when with tips and tricks when your stuck.

mega force. Naw
Mad force. yay
Tmaxx. yay
Monster GT. ??

from these 4, considering what i know from what is out there and, I now that the mad force is not on your list, I would go with.....

Savage!

Tmaxx does have a lot of parts support and is very fast out of the box. I just like how the savage feels and the way it sits. I know little about the mega force, but the mad force, from what I have read and seen is a killer truck. fast, but the suspension design is a little weird. Now the Monster GT will not come out till summer, so I cannot comment on it except that on the videos, it looks huge and pretty dope. I dont own a monster truck yet, but I am waiting for the Monster GT before I make a decision.

If I were in the market for a MT today, look closely at the Savage, and would wait until the GT came out before I bought anything. Having said that, I do love my maxx.

1) The forward/reverse transmission is for the lazy and is additional weight that a true monster should rarely need. It should be running over obstacles, not having to back away from them.

2) EZ start/push button start is just so much extra weight. I had one on my T-Maxx, and got rid of it. Pull start works just fine.

3) 4WD is a must.

4) RTR means different things to different companies and people. Based on what you listed, there are several RCs that meet the bill.

Of the trucks you compared, I would go with the T-Maxx....but I submit that you should think about making the Savage a potential front runner in your consideration. It has an awesome powerplant in the Nitrostar 21BB. It comes ready to run. It is definitely 4WD. If you insist, you can get a reverse module for it. As for the whole EZ start thing...they have them out there, but I think it's a waste of time.

Thats so funny because everyone I know think the engines lacks power compared to any other .21 engine. I mean com'on the truck only weighs 2.5 lbs more than the T-maxx and has a 2 speed just like the T, and it has a .21 compared to a .15 so why does the Maxx do 15mph faster top speed than the Sav? Eveyone one that has one that already hasnt switched it out is getting to Ofna .21 Hyper 8 port engine to replace the dog of .21 that HPI put in that truck. Now the Savage is an Awesome truck dont get me wrong here the engine and top speed just seem to be the biggest gripe from owners. Sorry Christian I know you like that engine:jet:

2.5 lbs is a huge difference, but I do thing that the 21bb is less powerfull than it could be. I really dont know about the engines that hpi install in the RTR's.

But that said, the Savage is still really fun to drive and still has a lot of power and speed. Yeah its not as fast or as light as the Tmaxx, but it flys just as far. It also is pretty strong.

Don't get me wrong...the first upgrade to my Savage was dropping a Hyper into it. I still have the stock engine in a baggy...untouched other than to remove it from the truck. BUT as stock engines go, it is way better than the .15 my T-Maxx started with.

As for a T-Maxx that has a 15mph faster top speed, I want to know what .15 power plant is making the T-Maxx go 45mph...because it sure as hell isn't the stock geared 2.5.

I'd wait for the Monster GT. From things I've read about it seems to be a nice setup. It'll be a morph from the T-maxx so associated said. Supposedly it's going to use many things of the same, such as A-Arms, mounts and stuff of the such. Even though it's going to be 1/8th scale (supposedly). And the things I've read about that prototype? Thunder Tiger .21 is pretty cool too. Who knows what's to come, only summer will tell. I think the MGT will be the one to look at upon it's release. :)

OHH And if you're caught with reverse at our local shop. You'll be shot LOL Noone likes the reverse. It's a wieghdown, and a slowdown. And trust me, reverse is basically useless anyways. :)

Just wait till the MGT comes out...Its gonna be one hell of a truck. One question though..Does it come with a .21 rear exhaust engine or do you have to supply your own? I'm hoping Supply your own because I'm already thinking bout picking up the Hyper 8 Port no-matter what.

Yep, the Monster GT comes with a .21 rear exhaust and it is RTR.

Damn, this thing is a monster. look at the tire sizes!

Both RCNITRO and RC CAR ACTION (same company) Clocked the stock T-maxx 2.5 @ 45 mph. Now I dont have a speed gun so I cannot confirm but my T-maxx with a pullstarter, FOC, and lighter Velocity dish wheels and Bow Tie tires will hit the 45mph mark and probably beyond with my stock 2.5, stock pipe, and Stock gears.

Anyone heard any GOod Or BaD news about that stock engine in the MGT? I'm really putting money on it. If not...probably a Tmac or Savage.
