Kick Rocks tmaxx shocks, suggestions please!!

these crappy shocks have to go, it seems like every time my maxx gets a good roll, the shocks pop from the crapy screw on heads. i have the 3.3 shock towers and rd logics aluminum a-arms in the wide style. please i need some suggestions. i was gunna go with the integy piggy back ones, but figured i'd ask around.

Integy is about as strong as butter. IMO Traxxas big bores are a great buy, they don't bling and they are not threaded but they are hard to beat in performance and durability!

Another option is to put the Traxxas aluminum shock caps on the stock shocks. They're not quite as durable as full aluminum but a big improvement over stock.

The unlimited engineering shocks are the bomb! And you only need to run 4! I would not buy Integy ANYTHING after my experience...

What is your experience? I just bought and installed 8 Integy MSR5 piggybacks on my Emaxx. Thanks

My T-maxx ones broke, very easily. Yes, they are silky smooth, but they didn't hold up at all. Not to mention I snapped a few of their bulkheads and shock towers before I decided I was done.

I turned a set of maxx integy shocks into pretzels, bent two front arms and a bulk in one day...I was beating the poop out of it but I thought thats what I bought aluminum for, now I know better. My sons maxx has a lot of rpm and does a decent job of taking a beating, the only time it breaks is when it lands upside down then it's bye bye bulk head.

The UE ones are nice, but the traxxas aluminum big bores are built well. From what I've read/seen the springs that come on them are overly soft, so you may want to get something stiffer if you go with big bores.

Now, I haven't jumped off of any buildings, but so far I am very happy with the shocks so far. They seem to be holding up ok . Now of course it sucks that I just wasted $100 on crap though. I am sure the UE shocks are great... but there was no way I was spending that much for shocks.

Not the price I was quoted.... but then again, What do I know? I found 4 with dual rates on UE's site for $89 for 4. I needed 8.

I'm not trying to be rude... But, you only really need 4 shocks. Unless the truck is heavier than mine, 4 of those shocks will get you a long way.

Yeah, 4 UE's work ok on a 2.5 chassis, but I found that they weren't quite sufficient on a 21 chassis maxx. It does much better with 8.

You know it makes sense..... but I was thinking 8 all the way... so I ended up with the MSR5's... oh well, live an learn. Wouldn't be the first time I have wasted my money on a stupid purchase.

so four ues will be fine, i got some extra aluminum, if you check out my modding a tmaxx post you can see my aplication, so i'm thinking that i'm gunna get the 4 UEs or the big bores, if you have any links please post
