I am new to the rock crawler world. I purchased a Traxxas TRX4 Sport. I heard that spraying your chassis with a silicone spray makes it easier to clean after mudding.
Fact or fiction??

Mudding requires a whole different level of cleaning. all parts will have to come off every time you mud. spraying with any oil base will only collect more dust and need more cleaning.

Silicone spray is better for that ,those compounds are mostly used on mechanisms for that purpose so the parts
dont collect contaminants on them!
That stuff is used on garage door openers an things that have moving parts ,it also handles heat an cold very well!
I used it on weight lifting machines at are gym when I worked for the park ,it allowed for the sliding parts to move
smoothly with out collecting dust balls!....
