My K&N Filter is(was) filthy
soaked in exhaust oils and caked with dirt
I've got it soaking in 'Mr. Clean' right now
did I already screw up ?
How do you clean these things ?

dont bother cleaning it they suck. get a foam element filter like motor saver or the o.s. 2 stage filter with prefilter.

Just remove it completely. Replace it with a motorsaver or other high quality air filter made for RCs, as the K&N filters are not designed for rc use.

Or just take it off and run without it... it's about the same as using a K/N.

I have a K&N on my 1:1 and it upped my milage about 2 mpg... but then again, I'm not whipping donuts and ramping off of dirt in a refinery with my Mercury!
