yeah got them fropm Meganitro. I had gotten an email the same day stating that they were out of stock and would send the shipment as soon as they had more. But then the next day I got a confirmation from USPS that they were shipped. Took a total of 11 days from order to the day i got them.

Same thing. I still have the USPS confirmation but all it says is that they have been notified by the shipper to expect a package. I sent them an e-mail this morning. I am still waiting for a response.

I use it on my K3 and it fit on the box just fine. Yes it is smaller but the wheel hits no prob.

robriquez. I think the trick is to get different engine mounts. I realize that you use the pullstart. If you wanted to take it off and put the flat backplate on then you can lower the engine a little bit and then it will reach the starter-wheel just fine. Sorry about the Jerky post earlier. My bad. good luck and I can't wait to hear how this thing works.

no prob i was being a bit of a deek myself.

So, for now I've mounted it to the existing engine in the buggy. I'm going to try to run it at lunch to see if I notice a difference or not. I think I'm going to need a diff clutch bell, cut the shaft a bit or get a smaller collett. There is a much bigger gap between the flywheel and the crank case now and the bell just barely covers the pads. Previously there was no gap (could slide maybe one sheet of paper betwen them not two) between the case and the flywheel.

I did not forsee that being a problem, I thought this clutch was a " direct replacement". We all know how that goes though, its directly replaceable on your ability to MAKE it fit....LOL
Let us know how it goes. I will be offline a day or so. the wife is getting induced today, so we will be having our first.

Its a girl ( yes she is gonna race R/C)

Just thought I would post an update. The turbo sliding clutch arrived today from MegaNitro. How many springs are you guys running? It seems all I have to do is hook the spring together and press it into the groove. Is it really that easy?

Congrats on the girl!!!!

I'm still waiting for my clutch to come in. If you just go yours I'm hoping the LHS will be getting mine any day. I think GS was the one with the stock/inventory issue.

Run three springs. Every person I have talked to told me that's what they run. I run 3 on my P5 and it hits just right. Yes just hook the spring and slide it in! This was the main reason why I got one no more screw drivers into the fingers! The other thing is make sure you put one of the big washers on the side by the CB so the springs can't move into it. I have seen one that did on a vented CB and the springs are now toast.

Update, so far it seems to be working great. The grab of the teflon shoes is noticibly different than the stock 2 shoe setup I've been running. Much much smoother. I have not tried installing the carbon shoes yet as the Picco should be here this week and I want to save them for that mill. With three springs there is also a very noticable difference as to when the shoes engage. Revs are much higher. Tried running with one 2 springs and it engaged too early. For now I'll stick to the 3 springs. Oh and I had to use a completely different washer than what it came with. The Fironi washers have a bit of a lip to them. I mean that the very center is thicker than the rest of the washer. I'm sure this is intended to give a bit of clearence from the CB but it made it tooo thick to mount correctly. Once I found one is the spare parts bag wil no lip it worked fine.

Thanks for the update robriguez. So you didn't have to do any shimming behind the flywheel? I purchased the ofna shim kit a while back so I'm sure I have something that will work

BEHIND the flywheel... no. There already is a bit of a gap I want to get rid of. I think I should get a new collett. I used the old one and maybe its diameter is a bit large for this flywheel. The old flywheel was almost flush with the crank case. The new one you can put like 4-5 peices of paper in between to give you an idea of the gap. Not huge but much more than previous.
