just got a HPI SOMETHING i think its a rs4.?

i just bought this and a aquacraft airforce boat for 20.00. i'll be posting pictures later after i get outta work. its a 4wd belt driven for the front wheels. it has a DTX 18 motor. it appears to be older... i'll be posting pictures in a while. if you can tell just by the info given what it is please help me out.. thanks.

well its a HPI Super Nitro RS4 !! lol blast from the past but its cool. for 10.00 i mean COME ON!!! how could one NOT pass on that deal?

Wait till you try and get a new lid for it. You will have to spend about 80-100 bucks for one

The engine DTX would be a Duratrax....so either it has been swapped out or it is not really and HPI. But either way you got a deal

The lid is the body....AKA...shell; all the same thing.

Because the super RS4 uses a 300mm body and they are getting very hard to find, especially clear new ones. You may find used already painted ones for less, but then you are stuck with the paint the previous owner put on it.

There is actually a guy on evilbay right now with a few painted used ones that are still pretty reasonable, but theres still several days left on the auctions. I didn't see any new ones at all.

yeah i seen the ones on ebay.... yikes. i've contacted a few people on rctech about some of their bodies and they're great looking bodies. I'm alright with spending 30-40 on a body, but it better be in DECENT condition.

I like the Super RS4, I think it looks cool with the extra size, it just sucks that they discontinued it and the bodies. it's gonna cost you 4-10x what you paid for the car just to get a lid for it.

well theres a few on there for around 30-40 shipped if no one buys em.. and yeah it does suck, but i got a good deal. i basically paid 10.00 for it. i mean I'm not gonna be sad if i have to pay to fix it up... but i'll sell it to ya cheap :evilgrin:
