Now I get to build this!! I am going brushless.

It was hard saying by to my Monster...But any body have any hop ups F/S or wanting to get rid of for shipping.?

Put some 7.2v lipos in them, FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES ONLY, (borrow them if you dont have them) and you will see what the 550's can do. Single brushless is an easy fitted kit, and you can fit 1 brushless motor, and it will be alot better, and will only break with serious driving.
To be honest a good start is throw the EVX 2 speedie away and fit a Novak speedie (brushed or brushless..... The speedie figures out what you've got and adapts) or whichever one Traxxas use in their 16.8v Emaxx, and put 2 8.4v batteries in it. They go hard enough to break them.

no, traded it. I no I have alot in the T but I want to hop up the E. Go brushless , the best thing is I dont have to tune buy GP and fuel. But I will get another nitro M/T. OH and my son is scared of my nitro.

You will get a lot more runtime and power out of the brushless setup. Also, there's not much maintenance as opposed to changing brushes, etc... I'm bout to buy an E-Maxx to build for my girlfriend, they're nice trucks.

EVX 2 speedie away and fit a Novak speedie , and those are what?

He's talking about the Electronic Speed Control, the thing that the battery is plugged into, square, mounted on chassis with wires going to the motors.

So with the same motors I can just change the speed control.? whats the best way to make this thing fast?

The best way to make that e maxx fast is do what i did and get a Novak HV brushless ESC with 6.5 motor or if you want to go faster then get it with the 4.5 motor a little less run time but alot more speed http://www.teamnovak.com/products/esc/3220hv_esc/index.html I curently have the 6.5 set up and you can run dual 6 or 7 cell packs in it, one thing you will want to replace are the trany gears with these i keep eating idler gears and these should solve my problem http://www.rcrockcrawling.com/index.php? cPath=69_79&osCsid=106eff78032975aee607915759d12a3d other upgrades i would make are big bore shocks and aluminum bulkheads I personally have mine set up to go just about any where with spools front and rear with Moab XL tires and bead lock wheels I can drive it fast and jump it or crawl over stuff nice and slow have fun the upgrades are endless...

esc are fairly universal the tranny I'm not sure i dont know emaxx but electrics are all pretty common in the esc field and you should be aqble to put any esc u want

Cool deal bud. I just got the E-Maxx I bought for my wife today as well. I got it used and aside from a tore up body it's pretty darn nice. I've never seen a stock E-Maxx go so it's sort of new for me too.

yhea I need a manual, it is something I can plug and play. I am modding it a bit. Then get another nitro. But for now This is my main RC. :)

thanks for the info and the manual. On the Traxxas page they have the 3905 and not the 3906 anymore.

what is the fastest mode for this e maxx and how do you set it?? I looked at what you sent me but I want to make sure.

yhea, it is all stock. How can I get the most out of what I have? And I am use to no reverse, if that matters. I thought it said something about setting it up without reverse, I am wanting performance.

Is it something about holding the throttle back while having a light on?
