hi i am wondering if i can put a jp pipe on my force .28, if i can what one, cheers alex.

Any of them will fit. Depends on what kind of power you are looking for. JP-3 and JP-4 are the best all around pipes though from what I hear.

I really liked the JP-3 and 4. I have a JP-2 but have not tried it yet. But any of the will work well. Like Moto said...what kind of power are you looking for?

I honestly think the JP-2 or 4 would be best for that particular engine. The 3 will make the engine feel torquier but it will choke it on top end. It will feel stronger all around on the 2 or 4.
The Dynamite Platinum series pipes are cheaper, lighter and 3X stronger than the JP pipes. You could try the Losi sport or 007 exhaust or the High Torque or High Speed version. They all are good pipes. That Force .28 is not a reliable engine, I'd save for a new .21 engine with a matching exhaust. You'll save on gas in the long run, plus any of the newer .21's will SMOKE that force .28.

Get off your butt and try the JP-2, you'll love it.

I'm thunking of getting the RB Concept S7 L2G .21, is it any good??

It's a good engine but you would be better of with a Werks B5 and a 2013 pipe. It's a brutal powerhouse and gets excellent fuel mileage. For 200 bucks you can't beat that engine out of the box.

Go Alpha Plus already! Another great $200 mill ;-) Actually there are a handful of $200 mills that are just blowing up the market these days!

Only bad thing about the Alpha's is the cast piston, it's not going to last like a billet piston will. The Alpha's are impressive no doubt, I'm not knocking it. Was it 200 with the pipe or was it extra?

I'd like to second Scrogg's opinnion on the b5. I ran my today braking it in. It' is a great mill, tons of power and i never got over 1/2 throttle. Starts right out of the box, idles great. For 200 dollars, i do not think it can be beat.

the B5 looks sweethas alot of great reviews so I'm now going towards that one

the alpha looks nice to but the piston put me off, looks good, so waht one should i go with. ???

My S852 (Orange Head) Alpha was $209 + $79 for the APLus 0801 Chrome Pipe. Reports thus far are 8-10 gallons without doing a single repair to the engine. No bearings, Rods, pinches...nothing. That's pretty awesome out of a $200 mill. Some have gone 15+ gallons thus far....so we'll see what kind of mileage I get out of it. Only finishing off gallon 1 thus far.

I wouldn't worry too much about the cast versus billet piston. No reports of anything bad happening due to the cast piston. Yes Billet is pretty nice though....

I mean you really can't go wrong with the B5 or the Alpha Plus or the JL 21 at this point. Toss a 3 headed coin and buy whatever it lands on ;-) I went with the Alpha Plus for mainly 2 reasons.

1. I wanted to be different and try one
2. I thought it looked far cooler than the other choices

Performance wise....there were a handful of $200 mills that had interested me...and the B5 was one of them.

A lot of people claim 8-10 gallons with no maintenance. 99% of them are liars. No race engine can withstand that much abuse with no maintenance. I will always check bearings and rods every two gallons at a minimum. 1/10th of a mm of play in an engine bearing is too much. You are asking for a disaster. Besides keeping fresh bearings in your engines makes them run and tune so much more consistent. The average life span of a rod under race conditions is 5 gallons.

Just repeating what Jimmy Wright from TrackStar RC is saying about their "beater" engines ;-) They have a few they just beat the snot out of...without any maintenance. They are still ticking....

Jury is still out for me...like I said...I'm still on gallon 1! Hopefully PLENTY left to go. We shall see. I will tear it down at 2 gallons (and probably every 2 thereafter) and post pics for sure.

i like the B5 so I'm thinking of going with that, what jp pipe would be best for it ??

No JP for it, well maybe the JP-4. I'm not a huge fan of the JP pipes, they are overpriced, break easy and a bit heavy. They are not all that great in the power dept either. But that also depends on the engine you choose. Run a 2013 pipe or a 2053 or a 2035 pipe. The 2035 pipe seems to be a great pipe that is affordable. Check A-main....read the reviews on the engine and pipes. People usually write reviews telling what pipe fuel and plugs they use...very helpful.

:D:Di go on amain alot and the reviews have been helpful, i am going 2 get the b5 and the pipe that you recomended scrogg, thanks for all ur help, alex
