more of a riddle....................

theres a guy on a horse in a desert when he comes to a pond. he has to give his horse exactly 4 gallons of water no more/no less or it will die.

all he has is a 3 gallon bucket and a 5 gallon bucket. how does he do it???

if no one gets it, i will post the anwser sunday cause I'm leaven real early tomorrow.

one day some golfers were in the club house talking when one fellow jumped up and challanged the course pro to a game...he said i'll bet you a $1000 i can beat you in 9 holes, but i get a advantage,i get two "gotcha's"....the pro thinks about it for a bit,he can't come up with anything that a gotcha would be and decides oh well he only gets two any ways i'll play him.
a few hours later the boys see the pro writing a cheque for the guy and they ask..how in the world did he beat you? the pro replies....well i was the first tee box warming up,got ready to hit the ball, was in the middle of my back swing when all of a sudden the other guy ran up behind me,reached between my legs, grabs my crotch and yells..."gotcha"......ever try to play a game of golf waiting for the second "gotcha?"

Easy, fills each bucket half-way. half of 5 is 2.5, half of 3 is 1.5... 1.5+2.5=4

lol, nice.

SilentGTBoy used to post some pretty often, but he left the forums a little more than a year ago.

That's not an accurate measurement. But if you filled the three gallon jug and emptied it into the 5 gallon jug twice the second time you would have exactly one gallon left in the 3 gallon jug. Now you empty the 5 gallon jug add the one gallon that is still in the 3 gallon jug, fill the 3 gallon jug and put that into the 5 gallon jug and you have exactly 4 gallons. I saw this on Die Hard with a vengeance.

two good ol boys were driving down a country road & noticed the car in front of them weaving eraticly then drve off the road into a tree ...they run up to the car as a preacher is getting out stagering drunk... they say father are you a alright he says I'm fine
i had jesus riding with me ...& one of the good ol boys replys well you better let him ride with us your gonna kill him

Fill the 3 gal and pour it into the 5 gal. Fill the 3 gal again and pour it into the 5 until the 5 is full. this will leave 1 gal in the 3 gal container. Empty the 5. Pour the 1 gal from the 3 into the 5. That leaves the 3 empty and 1 gal in the 5 gal container. Fill the 3 and pour it into the 5 leaving you with exactly 4 gallons in the 5 gallon container. I hope your horse is happy.

fill up 3 gal and pour into 5 gal..
fill up 3 gal again and pour till 5 is full this leaves 1 gal in 3 gal tub
dump out 5 gal and pour the 1 gal left in the 3 gal tub into 5 gal tub
refill 3 gal tub and pour into 5 gal tub.. = 4 gal
