Ok, I "semi" broke my RC10 today, or sometime...

I was tearing apart my clutch bell and trying a different idea that a friend showed me while replacing the bearings that were in it.. By the way his idea was awesome!

Anyways, I peeked over and noticed a dogbone was bent, yes.. bent..

Now I can't even bend these by hand, much less figure a way my truck could.. I tried and tried to bend it back, but no way man.. What the heck could cause it? BTW they are aftermarket arms.. Some steel kind a guy from the race track gave me. He went to CVD's, and I inherited some nice bones for free :) lol

You could of hit somthing going a decent speed. More pressure then just you pusting

I wouldn't know what though, I haven't been hitting anything lately lol:wtf:

Well if you did hit somthing to glanced at you truck to see if it was intact and never notice the bend.

Face it.

Probably, but it had to be within the last gallon, I just did a complete teardown last gallon... Hmm.... Last time I looked they were straight, I'll have to get a pick of it. :)

Looks like it's time for CVD's. Not only are they stronger they dont bind so your suspension does its job and also get more traction.

I was thinking about that, what all advanatages do they give?

fully rebuildable and to repeat my self no binding, almost 0 backlash, and they are stronger than dogbones. Think faster with more control and less slop.

One more thing, The shiny ones are...well...shiny! Okay here, the MIP shiny cvd's are actually way stronger than the stocker on most trucks. MIP seems to make great Drivetrain parts. A Rustler down the street has a Set of MIP cvd's installed, and They are stronger and the universals seem to be a good choice. The Price for a Whole set of SHINY's for a Four Wheel Truck will be upwards of $60.00. For a Two Wheel Truck,or Car, It will be way cheaper-I imagine in the range of $20.00-$40.00. Here is A Site That I found: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAW59&P=7
It is for a Rustler. Now, Is this a Post count filler?

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!

I'd get blue if possible. My RC10 will be all blue one daym ohhhh yes sir.. BLUE!

I gotta call the local shop and see how much they'll be... With my recent unemployment... I dunno yet. I know dogbones sure as heck aren't worth it. lol

i have a Losi and i run the mip cvd's i paid around 20 at the lhs i go to so i think they should be comprable to that in price :radio:

They told me 27.87 for the actual kit for them.. What all of a conversion would I have to do? Just wondering. :)

poop I paid $175 to put MIP Shiny CVD's on my T-Maxx all the way around I got ripped!

BOy does my rear feel sore:stickup:

LMFAO humbolt T-Maxx is a different beast though. I'm only needing two shafts, the Maxx has six in all reality :)

true dat! But my rear is still sore and I walk a little funny. For a price like that it should really be a "no brianer" for you. I love CVD's and if I ever buy a car without them thats the first thing going in. One big thig I just dont understand about Traxxas is why do they think those telescoping plastic driveshafts are a good idea? Those are the biggest pieces of junk to hit RC. Dont get me wrong I love my T-Maxx and Traxxas is a great company in my opinion and I would not be into RC if it wasn't for buddy and his Maxxes to make me pop wood and I have never gone flaccid since. So I owe a lot to them for getting me into it in the first place.
