is a jato alot stronger then a t maxx i mean i love my truck but i can never drive it without breakin something i want something that will just be tough or maybe even a savage just something that will last through punishment

i'm confused,,,, are you trying to say that you own a T-maxx? and your T-maxx breaks a lot?? If this is true, i must say that i am shocked. My T-maxx is the toughest truck i have ever driven, I jump mine all the time, 4,5 and 6 feet in the air then crash land and nothing breaks. I'm not sure what your doing but,,, the jato is not stronger than the t-maxx. AND IMO the Savage is not as strong as the T-Maxx either!!!!!!!!!

I do not know were this guy is getting his info from, the Savage is way stronger than even the best hopped up T-Maxx, the Revo is another story, much better design than the Maxx. I also think a Jato with RPM parts is also stronger than the T-Maxx. If you want some thing that can take beating get a Savage or a Ofna Buggy, like a cheap buggy ULTRA LX 1 , Ultra MBX or 9.5. Put some CNC shock towers on the buggy and some carbon fiber parts and you are ready to rock.

I've had a T-Maxx for 2 weeks, driven it a total of 4 days, and already broke bulkheads, a-arms, motor mount, exploded a fuel tank, and this is all just driving it around my front yard and driveway.

Really wish I would've opted out for the Revo or Savage, but I'm new to the hobby and wanted to learn before I spent big money on a fancy truck/car.

Like many members here on the board, I own both the Savage and TMaxx. The Savage is by far more durable in the stock form than the TMaxx.

my maxx has broke everytime i have drivin it i dont even get crazy with it

When I had a Jato I think it took far ore punishment than my Maxx. And the Maxx breaks but then tou upgrade.

to be honest i dont know much about the savage but i have a t-maxx and i bash the poop out of that thing. i still have all factory a-arms that have never broke. The only thing that i have ever replace is the front bulk heads and the front shock tower once. But i have built a ramp over a friends 2 story house and cleared it 7 times and have never broke nothing. I have landed on its wheels on its side on the top every position you can think of. My revo i have done the same and havent broke it yet, but my revo 3.3 is new and hasnt even seen dirt yet and dont want to but i am going to brake it out one day. LOL just admiring it. LOL

I to have had 3 T-Maxxs and they alway had problems, more than my other trucks have had. I have also owned 4 Savages and the one I had from the time it was new in the box was the first Savage, a Savage 21 and I never broke any thing on it other than trashing the stock top. I have a Savage 25 which I am upgrading at this time and a Savage X which I have put RPM arms and skid plate on. I have not got to play with them much yet, and unless HPI made it cheaper than the first Savages I do not expect to break to much on these ride either. I have also had Revos and they are great trucks for bashing and racing and like I said if you want something fast and you can bash the heck out of get a cheap Ofna Buggy and you will break less and spend less money on repairs. On the Savage I would get RPM A Arms and You have a TANK. Have fun and I would say SELL the T-Maxx on eBay and buy one of the others.

lol yea i mean i done stripped spur gears snapped half shafts broken toe links and shocks an I'm sure a few other things and i might only have 4 or 5 tanks through it after break in if that I'm not gonna get rid of the maxx just looking to get something else

and its either gonna be a jato or rustler just tryijn to decide now

I say go with an LST, strongest/biggest truck I've driven in nitro form.

LST is definitely a strong/big MT. I have a Revo and an LST, I haven't driven the LST as much as the Revo, but they are both well built rigs.
If you are looking at the Jato/Rustler, those are more in the stadium truck/truggy class and I'm assuming price might be a factor. A Revo and LST are more durable than a Maxx (IMO) as far as MT go. Never owned a Savage but there are plenty of people here that do and can offer a better comparison. The Jato and Rustler are 2WD with lower ground clearance and I think if you run them into anything, you'll be more likely to break something versus any of the mentioned MT's. Again, that's JMO.

I can bring my LST roller out to the bash if you wana look at one. If your gona make it. out there.

jato or rustler will be for the track if i dont end up buyin a damn rock crawler lol

umm let me get this straight you break stuff on a truck that goes what about 40-45 mph. So now you wanna try 65-70mph with a plastic chassis.

yep never hit anything just run it in basically a flat yard but it always breaks just kinda dissapointed in the t maxx strenth

i would put a stock savage up against any stock rig period. it is by far the toughest truck i have ever owned. i have never had an lst but i have heard many stories of the driveline being weak. i currently own a revo and its pretty tough stock but with a few key upgrades its really though. it would give a savage a run for its money, if i could keep shock ends on it...

I never had a problem with the driveline, and i primarily used mine as a pulling rig for high weight sled pulls. More stress then most people ever put on their rig.
