toss the spring and the fuel line. cut a piece of alum tubing about .6 long. k&s brand# 5102. can be found at most hobby shops. it is .095 id inside or may be a little bigger. put it where the spring was. then readjust the break rod. 1 get hot racing duel break kit sjt39ds, use loc-tite on the screw going into the center of the shaft and realy nail hard. adjust the pads very tight but not dragging.
 
Well, about the only thing I've found that works well is you get an alloy brake arm and double up on the brake discs either by doing a hack like I did, or getting a hub that lets you do it right.

Or an extended X shaft and a second set of trx brake parts to stack up 2 disks with 3 pads

I had a spare disk/pad/hub from an old xxx-nt in a drawer, so I futzed aroudn with it to get it to work. Locks them up easily now.

as always my fiends come up with some great ideas. now if i could just find the time to break in my new O.S. engine.
