Today has been the best day ever rc wise. I believe this is the first time i have ran my rc ( since almost 2 months now i think) without breaking, having tuning probs or anything cept for one tiny thing which i have a question about. my clutch keeps slipping when i get to full throttle or hammer full throttle regardless of how tight or how loose i tighten my spring. I have gotten it really close to not slipping but never right on. We have taken apart the clutch and checked the disk and it looked good. we even lengthen the spring to make it a little tighter. any ideas

Sorry nothing about the clutch.
But congrats on the good day! I've only recently had myself one of those!

It could also be the clutch bell rather than the slipper. Scuff the shoes and the inside of the bell and that might do it, if the shoes aren't worn too badly.

which part is the clutch bell cuz i think i have a spare one if I'm thinking of the right thing?

ok i have a spare clutch bell and a spare clutch disc which one do i need to change out first to test? is there any way of testing it to see if one of these parts are damaged before i take the whole thing apart

The clutch bell is the metal drum with the teeth that turns the spur gear. It's mounted on the front of the engine.
The other possibility is that your slipper, on the spur, has slipped so much that it's no longer able to grip at all.

well i went ahead and changed out both the clutch bell and the clutch disk. i will test it out tomorrow to see if it helped anything

ok changed out clutch disk and clutch bell but yet its still slipping like crazy no matter how much i loosen or tighten the spring. now what? i will try to get a vid of later of it if i can

this is the vid. if you notice when i punch the throttle it wont spin for a few secs but if i walk into it it will do fine

tighten your spur gear all the way in then losen it one 1/2 turn if that doesn't work get new slipper pads !

where are the slipper shoes? also I'm thinking its the tension spring. I'm thinking it has worn out and is not holding any pressure against the plate because we put pressure on the clutch ourselfs and it wouldnt slip. can anyone send me a link possibility in towerhobbies for replacement spring

have you pulled apart your slipper to make sure the pad is in good shape?

have you tried adding a small washer or three in between the tensioner nut and the spring to apply even more pressure to the slipper?

yes i have changed the pad and the clutch bell. hmm thats a great idea i did not think of that. i will look for some washers to try that out. it would be alot easier than waiting 2 weeks for a replacement spring
