After almost two years being married to my wife, she wants a divorce. She put a restraining order against me and now I can't get any of my belongings for a whole year. She took all the money, I was forced to go back home to Washington, with just the clothes on my back. My RC's are with her about $3500 worth.

Run as fast and as far as you can.

When the house is on fire get the hell out so you have an opportunity to rebuild it later. Don't stand in the middle and feed the flames.

After the fire goes away and the smoke clears, go see if there is any thing to salvage.

Until that time the only thing that will happen is damage. Take a step back and let it run its course.

Been out for 2 years. I was tossed with my clothes and that's all. She took all the money. But after a few months I was able to get my stuff back. I agree with Eddie. RUN! And run fast. Remember one thing I learned. It's only stuff. And it can be replaced. Now I actually have my own stuff. My own money. My RC's back. My guitars and kites. And all my tools. And all the stuff I didn't get back I replaced. So it's my own stuff.
Trust me. In about 3-4 months you'll be smiling big. Cuz she took everything now, but she'll have nothing later. It's just the way kharma works. So just wait. It's worth it!!!
And mjanwo is right. You are entitled to your property but you will have to have an escort to get it. Just call the local police and the court that issued the order and make sure you can.

Man get a good lawyer is all I can say. I don't know what state you are in but that plays a lot into how bad a screwing you will take. Dude we don't know what brought this on or whose fault it is but that is irrelevant. I will say this man when in doubt there is one place to turn and that is God. Even though some of us give the impression of being asses like my self I believe in a higher power and I will include you in my prayers. If you don't know God this would be a good time to look him up. X

Its simple - call 911 and tell them this woman will not give you YOUR PROPERTY back! They will take you there (actually meet you there) and get it for you.

I am with Eddy , RUN. She can pull all kinds of crap to get you arrested. Now that she has a restraining order, she can basicly get you arrested anytime she feels the need. The best advice is, get away and never be alone. She can get a hair across her ass and call the cops and tell them you called her, guess what, that is a direct violation of the restraining order. Even if you have an alibi, it doesn't matter untill you go to court, which means if she calls a couple times, at the sherrif's discretion, he can arrest you. He can also hold you without bail. Even if you prove her wrong, and everything gets retracted and you are cleared, you could still spend weeks in jail. My advice STAY AWAY!

I have run as far as I can. I am back in Washington state, staying with my sister in Lynnwood. This has been so hard to deal with, sometimes, I feel betrayed and used and the sad part is I probably was. I appreciate all your encouragement, and kind words, because most of my family are not happy about this because they said not to marry her in the first place and I thought my love for her would be enough, but love has to work both ways. I know there is light at the end of the tunnel but I can't see it sometimes. Thank you again for all your support, just pray for me that God will give me understanding on why this is all happening.
