I recently purchase SRC Terrain Crusher Belted Tires for my revo 3.3
I used them for the first time this past weekend. I ran a total of 1.5 tanks of fuel in an empty parking lot just so i could re-tune the engine after rebuilding it. Nothing crazy, no jumps, donuts ect.... was running without the body the whole time so i was careful.

After getting home i noticed on one of the rear wheels there is an area about 1.5" to 2" in length where the tire separated from the rim. From what i read online when i was researching these tires, I read nothing but good things, lots of people using them on electric trucks hitting a lot higher speeds than i with no issues at all. I am thinking/hoping that this was just a fluke/maybe bad batch because i really like the tires.

Is this type of damage acceptable after just 1.5 tanks of use? please see two photos linked below thanks

I can't really tell by the photo, but no ,its not normal!
Did the tire bead split from the rest of the tire or just come un glued
from the rim?
If the bead of the tire just came un glued from the rim ,then that's a plausible norm!
If it litterely ripped ,that's not the norm!...

Glue separation is far from uncommon. If it's the glue, just reglue them. It the tire itself is coming apart, I would contact SRC.

thanks for the replies,
The tire did not tear it became unglued but not cleanly it left small pieces of tire/rubber stuck to the rim.

I have the same tires/wheels on my 21TM revo now I've only ran 3-4 tanks with them so far, but was on grass, pavement and they seem ok so far. They grip way more than the 3.8 chevrons I had on it. Had a lot of side/2wheel traction rolls on pavement because I wasn't used to them. They don't have the forward bite of the chevrons though. At least in grass. Tends to spin the tires vs pull a wheelie. I thought something was wrong with the clutch install I did at first (new dynamite max life trx shoes) and was kind of bummed out. Then I got on pavement and goosed it, then it landed on it's roof. Took me a few full throttle pulls on grass to realize it was just spinning all 4 tires.
