The International Space Station will be zipping over some heads with a great viewing. Rolex...you will get a great show on May 22nd @ 21:28 (9:28). It will appear in the sky @ 11 degrees above the SW horizon and travel to a peak elevation of 81* departing at 12* above the NE sky. It will last for approx 5 min.

Charlie, for you it's the 22nd @ 20:26. Approaching @ 17* above SSW. Reaching max elevation of 52* and departing @ 10* above NE.

You can see it great with the naked eye. No gear needed. Check it out.

Any way to get info for central NY? I have a simple, low power telescope and that may be fun viewing for an evening.

Thanks a lot for that info! I just told my mother about it and stuck a note on the fridge, we both love space and NASA stuff alot, and I've never seen the ISS. I'm sure george probably wrote the code to send the space station my way.

Visible from NE Ohio?

Akron-Monday, May 19th 5:32 am appearing at 10* above NW and taking 4 min to depart at 30* above ESE. Max elevation is 76*

Akron-Thursday, May 22nd, 21:29 appearing at 11* above SSW and taking 5 min to depart at 10* above ENE. Max elevation of 43*

I worked with them in the military on the Apollo 16 & 17 missions. Also on the Skylab's. I did ECM (Electronic Counter Measures) and ECCM (Electronic Counter Counter Measures). You know...you block my signal, I block your blocker, you block my blocker, blocking your blocker.I'm semi retired now doing research. Life is good. I'm a kept man. My wife retired me 2 years ago.

Man, this is a great opportunity to break out the telescope! Any chance it'll be visible from Tampa?

Thanks for the info, NitroNewb. I caught one that wandered almost directly overhead a while back, and I plan to be outside for this one.

Don't forget your pants. It will be tough to see it from a jail cell.

I didn't think they let people outside after dark who use walkers?

Tampa- Wed, May 21st @ 21:04 ..duration, 5 min. Max elevation 73*. Approach 11* above SW, depart 11* above NE

It moves kinda quick to get a telescope on it. You can see it great with binoculars or just the naked eye. It's best right after sunset or just before sunrise. It gets a lot of reflective light. Even better when the shuttle is hooked up. SPECTACULAR when they dump waste water. It's like a light show.

LMAO!
I hang my pants on the walker. No one is the wiser, unless they come up from behind.

Be careful when you're looking up at them. They have a habit of flicking their cigarette butts out the window. One almost hit me in the eye last time. Smokeski. A Russian brand.

I'm not sure that I want to be outside looking up when they dump the wastewater

OK how about about Spring Mountain PA about 40 miles north north west of Philladelphia Pennsylvania.I would like to have a look at this with my daughter.

Philadelphia -Thursday, May 22nd @ 21:30 hours. Appearing at 10* above WSW, max elevation of 72*, departing @ 10* NE

I've seen pictures of the waste water dump. It crystallizes instantly and makes for quite the light show. To the naked eye it will look like a really bright star moving across the sky. Unless of course it's cloudy then it will look like a black spot moving across a black sky.

All this information can be found here:http://www.jsc.nasa.gov/sightings/

I saw it. But it was over far too soon. My neighbor Lucky would have liked to see it, but he wasn't home. (He builds model space ships as a hobby)
