whats up guys,
i want to get this starter box for my hpi rs4 3 and rc10gt because pullstarts are killing me. can i just get this starter box for both cars and be ready to go? i know that duratrax isnt the best in brand for anything but will it give me what i need? does anyone else have it or has had one? also on my cars can i just take the pullstart backplate off or will the starter box not affect the pullstarts (pull the string when it rotates the flywheel?)

hay
i have that starter box and it a good one but the bad thing about it is that the batteries go so fast. In my car i took the old pull start off

you can always get a non-pull start back plate and shave off the pin from the crankshaft for the pull starters....but I beleive the 1 way bearing should stop the string from being pulled...just like when the engine is running it doesn't pull it...the starter box will just spin your engine in the same direction it runs normally, just like push starting a manual car when your battery is dead...

that box will work, but you will need 2 of them. your rc10 and rs4-3 have the flywheels oriented 90* off from each other.

Setting up a starter box for your specific car is the key to sanity.
You can use the same box for both cars but you will not be a happy camper. Its totally frustrating trying to align the flywheel to the starter wheel by eye. Do yourself a favor and get two, or just use the box for the one you run the most.

I do the frustration method myself between an OFNA 9.5 and a mutant maxx..I use the crome top Ofna box and just eyeball it...you get used to it, but breaking in a new engine is a BEEEOTCH....takes an hour of screaming and cursing before it finally starts up....after just dealing w/ it for a few months you get the hang of it....I run both RCs when I go and it simplifies my load so I just deal w/ it....

Why were so many civil war battles fought in national parks?
So they could use the restrooms, gift shops and snack bars....Duh!

I have been searching for this answer a better part of my life.
One should look at the obvious reasons before trying to go to deep into it.
I once sat in a public restroom at a state park pondering this question. Just think the answer was right under my ...........

After all these years I feel liberated.
I need to find a new question to ponder.

the main reason i want the box is to get the engines cranked in the first place just trying to start them for break in is a bech so i just say f*** it and I'm gonna buy this box and 2 batteries .. thanks guys

you have the best answers for so many others I thought I'd enlighten you when I had one for you....

I was refering to the fact that I don't use the guides on my box, cause I can't set it up fot both RCs I have....also it's really only a pain when your trying to start .21 and bigger for the breakin.....it starts .15s and .12s without even flinching.....but yeah the box your lookin at will do the trick.....just run it till it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops...then rebuild it.....and runit til it drops
