got my pipe in the mail today, and it was off a Savage X SS kit, in full sealed package, chrome dual chamber tuned pipe....really??? it that what the SS kit came stock with. Also when i looked in the pipe it just looked like a regular pipe with that aluminum cone welded inside it. Is this what they really call the dual chamber tuned pipe???

THe only other pipe that I like than that is the ribbed pipe. Its loud as heck but will wake up that old 25 or even the 28.

Shyzza! ya this pipe really rocks, just after the bolt-on the truck wheelies with my current higher gearing where the old pipe never would. really notice the power difference.

You liked the ribbed pipe? I hate that thing. Loud as heck and it kills the mid-high power completely. Ok for 1/4 throttle, but after that, nothing I've put it on ran worth a darn.

I ran the stocker 25 I had, a Picco 26 and it was great for both.I did not have a problem in the power band. I was not really looking for top speed every moment. I was looking for grunt to flip that rig over. You are the first to say something bad about it.

Yeah... didn't mean to come off so rough there... sorry about that.

I've run it with an OS 21RG (I think I bought from you), XTM 24.7, SH28 and a losi M26. Didn't run well with any of them. The best it ran was with the 21RG, but that was with it in a buggy and not in the savage. In the savage, it just peaked out way to quick.

I have run the same pipe that started this thread with all of those engines and a LRP28. Ran really well and the power was/is solid from 1/4-3/4 throttle. I like my power to come on around the middle more than the low side.
