A transmitter that automatically ajusts the sensitvity of the steering depending on your speed? Sounds like a good idea to me, especially for touring cars.

As far as I know, that option is not available. The CLOSEST you can get to this feature is with a radio that has exponential settings. This will adjust the swing rate of your servos but must be adjusted to your preferrence.

i havent heard of one but it sounds expensive.
A few radios that hae exponential setting features are :

  • Airtronics MX-3, M8 & M11
  • JR XS3 Pro/Z1
  • KO Helios EX10 & Mars
  • Futaba 3PJs & 3PK

There may be others but these are the ones that I know of. Starting price will be $200 up to $300+ depending on where you get it.

200 not a bad price for a radio. i might look in to tring to find one close to that price.:ponder2:

The M11, Z1, Ex-10, Mars and 3PK will be (on average) $280 and up.

thats like a month and a half of allowence for me. might have to wait until the summer to get one.

i had this same idea about a month ago. i asked a few people, and the general reply was that 1 it would have to be a bidirectional radio like the sensor. 2 the ground speed sensor is expencive. 3 the added weight of the ground sensor and extra hardware would hurt more then the steering adjustment would help.

thats just what i heard from the people i talked to.

I have that on my radio. Its an add on part. Basically....its......MY HAND! :D
If I ddidn't know what this was about I would say that is just wrong.... anyhow..

I think what is trying to be accomplished here is a progressive steering feel like on 1:1 cars. That is too much to ask for since the radios now need to be smarter to know when speed is being decreased/increased. I think that the only radio possible of doing this isthe sensor or a radio with the Spektrum Technology.
