I believe something is wrong with my mamba monster max motor or the esc or if I have it geared high enough, I got it geared at 19t pinion 66t spur they are 32pitch gears an it's real slow on 4s lipo. Also when I barley get on the brakes it stops the truck really hard, to the point the truck flips over, this can't be normal.

Did you mess with the castle link?

I would make sure your gear mesh isn't too tight. Did you recently replace any of the gears or anything?

I havent messed with the castle link

The gear mesh looKs good
I did replace the 70t spur that was on It, but it also did the same thing with it

Hook it up to castle link. Make sure all your points are correct. How is the speed in reverse?

I don't have a castle link, can I program all of them manually? Its slower in reverse than forward

I did get it used so they may have the punch or timing real low you think?

They may have it set for crawler/scaler speeds..... you never know.

Get a castle link. Its how you tune your ESC/Motor. You wouldnt run a nitro without tuning it, why would you run electric without?

Yeah, I got a castle card that's coming in the mail, just thought I'd try it out to see how I'd does before tuning it, thanks

That's what it sounds like. Either that or the person he got it from had no idea what they were doing.

Recalibrate the TX to the ESC. Go through and manually reset all settings to whatever you like them set at and try it again. It almost sounds like the settings arent set right or my first thought was that you needed to reverse channel 2 but if its slower in reverse than forward thats probably not it.

Is there a way to reset the esc to defaults without having a link or card?

What's the best setting for the punch control? An motor timing?
An what is throttle dead band setting? It's going on a emaxx

Honestly, there are so many different settings to adjust, the best thing is to experiment and tune it to your driving habits and terrain you are planning on driving it on.

Theres only so much you can do with a card, If you get the castle link, you will be able to set it back to factory default and start from scratch.

Today I programed the esc manually , an seems to have fixed the problem , the fan on the esc never turned on , an motor was cold to the touch,I'm running 19/72. How much difference would 19/52 be ? Possible it will run hot? Just trying to get the full potential from the mmm system

Droppng 20 teeth on the spur is a huge jump. You were 3.78:1 now you are 2.73:1. I m not 100% sure but all you can do is watch your motor temps and if your motor temp is good and you still have good torque it is all good. That sound like a decent combo though.

What's the max temp that I don't want to go over?

170 to 180F is about the max you want to get it. I have got them hotter and had them live but your don't always get lucky. If you stay under 170 you are safe.

its pretty accurate up to about 40MPH....after that the higher it goes the more inaccurate it gets because it doesn't take any thing into account accespt gearing and rollout. So basically if you were running the car in a vaccum where theres no wind, gravity, drag, etc etc it would probably be fairly accurate.

19/52 is a pretty low gear ratio and I'd bet theres a decent chance it would run hot after a little bit but if it does you could always just try another spur or drop a few teeth on your pinion until you find a good combo.
