Is REVO worth the money?

I understand that the shock ends are the only problem on a Revo, but I'm almost certain that they are replaced with upgrades at no charge.

The only other "problem/complaint" I have heard is the radio. Same old AM radio when a lot of other RTR's are getting nice radios. LST or MGT comes with a JR XS3i. Forget which one. The Losi xxx-nt comes with a XR2i, heck my Storm buggy RTR come with a XR3i. Many RTR's come with nice radios, the Revo deserves one as well.

mgt comes w/a JR radio. thought it came w/AEs proprietary radio. and only some orig storms come w/a JR, the new PLUS models as well as the SUT come w/a FM, but dinky, radio that most will ditch b4 usage. i know, mine is sittin here as a house 2 charge 8 AAs at a time opposed 2 a wall charger that does 4 lol.

any1 get a revo 4 xmas, or give a revo?

Revo

What I did for the radio issue being christmas and all I managed to get a JR Xr3i off ebay for 75.00 dollars. I thought that was a good deal it is used but unless your a complete fool there fairly durable. I am not a fan of AM radio's that they sell with there kits. I do however agree that the revo is the best built truck and as far as liking the REVO two words Customer Service. Best in the industry. just my :2cents:

Well, I bought two Revo's for my son and I. I broke them in Friday before christmas so we could play on Christmas day, except that it rianed almost the entire day.
Today it was about 69 and sunny with 20 knt winds, so we engaged on an assault mission on a previously reconned area, saturated densely with mutiple targets of oppertunity (lots of cool piles of dirt to jump!).
we assaulted same for about 25 M's, then re-fueled and re-initiated our assault. After consuming about a quart of fuel, we finally succumbed to a casualty, a front shock end had come unscrewed on my sons Revo, so we disengaged our targets and headed back the HQ.
I've owned mostly Associated and Losi products, so this is my 1st personaly owned Traxxas product, and I'm thuroughly immpressed! I definately see a BB in the not too distant future, not because it doesn't have enough power, but because I feel the need fo mo powa!!!
Word sideways!

they got me again this wk. i finished 4th. did set fast lap of the race, but bad luck at start and some mistakes from pushin 2 make up lost time hurt. think the order was MGT revo revo SUT revo revo maxx LST.

great truck. yeh i'm gettin closer, just need 2 put things 2gether and shed some mistakes either from pushin, a slight steering bind, braking pts and just knock the rust off....especially on jumps.
