I know the Revo has yet to be released but are the indications that the Revo will outperform the Savage?

It'll probably outperform the savage in top speed. But I can't see the Revo being nearly as strong as the savage.

I agree with kwong from what i have herd about the savage it is the most durable. From the tmaxx it was not very durable at all. The revo looks to be almost a lay kind of chassis(the ride hight is not that high or at least i dont think) so it would be faster. I think hpi might have something new coming. But what do i know. Pesonally i would not sell your savge for the revo.:preachin:

Havent bought yet

I havent bought a truck yet, thats why I'm asking whether I should get the savage or wait for the Revo. Tower sells the savage for about 384 +7.99 shipping (after discount) and the Revo (when available) for 454 + shipping so the difference is about 70 bucks.

there are things about the revo that are sort of experimental, such has its suspension system it provides a overall greating shock movement but people thing the bars will bend and such, i think the revo will be more for racing and that it will haul in this job. I'm lookin into a savage also for a bashing truck.

Which would you rather do, have a truck RIGHT NOW or wait until one is released? It's all up to you. You're the one spending the greenbacks.

The truck isn't available and no one has even driven it yet. Speculation is one thing, but it doesn't seem fair to say the Revo sucks because you might think the T-Maxx does. It looks like a totally different truck. Who knows. Maybe it rocks, maybe it sucks. I think it would be better to wait till the thing is out so people can at least drive them and get experience with them.

Good Point

Yes Ill wait, thought I would peruse people's impressions because you never know if someone has some addiitional information.

To be honest, if I were in the market for a monster truck, I would consider the Revo, but at least wait a month or two to hear what other people think of it. I wouldn't want to buy the newest thing only to find out it's junk.

Even if it ends up having problems right out of the box with multiple users most companies are pretty quick to fit problems with their products. On the other hand we are dealing with TraxxASS here and they mybe not be quite as customer friendly.

I remember when the first run of 1 savages came out a tons of people, including myself, were breaking dogbones HPI ended up realizing that this was not an isolated one time thing and they had made a really weak point in their product they fixed it. Now all the later runs have already upgraded dogbones.

You can never have enough.

Thats the truth you will never only want just "one" truck. There were always be another that catches your eye.

It also depends a lot on what you want to do with it. If you want to race, the revo looks ready for it. If your a basher, I wouldn't even bat an eye and go get the savage. The savage allows you to run more power. Anyone and everyone who has a MT says the more power you have, the better.

IMO, the REVO is basically an MT/Buggy Hybrid... It should definately out perform the Savage on a track. The Savage will probably be more durable for bashing...
I would have to say that the REVO could be compared to the GS SUT....

i would got the savage!!! just for one reason its a new truck and NO ONE has PARTS,i did the same when the terra crusher came out should i get the t-maxx or the new terra crusher i went with the new terra and as i was strarting it the gears stripped in starter 2 week wait, got the gear in the mail cause of coarse the lhs didnt have NO parts, then got it running again next one way bearing went out another 2 week wait, to make it short,i would never buy it again unless its just to try it out, dont buy it if your going to go bashing with your buddies, cause your going to be a spectator if it breaks!!! just a lesson i learned good luck!!

The only thing we know right now, is that the Traxxas Marketing people are great at what they do. Give teh Revo a few weeks in customers hands, and we'll see how strong it is. If there is a problem, it'll take 6-8 weeks to fix and backfill the problem areas.

I would personally wait to get end user expereince before purchasing the revo. It really does look like an innovative truck as far as design is concerned. I would look looks like a buggy mt hybrid. Traxxas will definately have the aftermarket support for this truck but it will take some time to get. The MGT is still catching on as far as aftermarket support. It'll get there. As far as current reviews I will not trust RCCA at all.

The Revo did not even have likes and dislikes in the review the K3 in the same issue certainly did though.
