Is Revo supposed to be better than the Savage?

Revo - Looks to be faster. Looks to handle better. Humpback pack is cool. Dependability - wildcard. Price - more. Engine - could suck in the tuneability/dependability department if it's not much better than the original 2.5. Still a 1/10th scale.

Savage - proven dependability. Price - less (Could buy a Picco with the savings plus ebaying the S25). You can have it now. 1/8th scale.

So you have a lot to think about and compare. Also, don't forget that you will break stuff on either truck - and it's really nice to have a LHS close by that supports your ride.

its a tough decision but just go with your instincts. get whatever you feel is better. the two top decisions are; now or wait? and race or bash? pretty tough.

I would get the savage now. Waiting for the revo to come out is like waiting for the fastest pc processor to come out. Youll just end up waiting with no product.

I'm not sure when the revo comes out, but lets say its about a month before it does. I'm sure you wont want to be the first to own one, so you wait. Lets say you wait another month. Now your waiting 2 mos. Summer is half way done and youve spent your summer reading everything you can about the revo.

Now think of it this way. You buy the savage now. Bash like crazy, make it look cool, get crazy top speeds, get crazy air, take pix, and make movie clips. Now its two mos. later and all you are reading about how good the revo is. So you decide to get a revo. If your balln like EP, you just go buy the revo and add it to your fleet. If your like me, sell your savage for what you can and buy your revo. You are not going to get your money back on what you spent on the savage, but think of it as money well spend for all the fun time you had with it.

just my .02

Maybe this REVO might be pretty tough. When Traxxas made the Tmaxx the savage followed and learned off the maxx's mistakes like the weak spots and such, and so did other trucks. so traxxas could kick back and build upon their mistakes as well. But the only mistake traxxas made now was the small block in a monster truck. At least a .18, come on now.
